As people have said, everyone knew the end was coming but I am still greatly saddened that this little trooper has passed away.  He seemed a real little character and caught the imagination of so many people.

RIP little lad, you won't be forgotten.

My heartfelt thoughts with his family who have been through so much pain.

A thought tonight also for Jermaine Defoe who gave so much to make little Bradley happy.  You have my greatest respect for what you did for that little boy.  I sincerely hope every fan in the country shows their appreciation wherever you play.

Saw a video of it earlier. The little man got a fitting send off. Now he can rest.

I see they've sold Vito Mannone to Reading and are now looking at Rob Green. Meanwhile, their only signings so far this summer are former Everton players: Aiden McGeady and James Vaughan, plus Galloway and Browning (both on loan)

Looks like a lower end championship squad rather than one just relegated. I imagine a look at their recent accounts would make for some pretty horrific reading.

Quote
The Sunderland midfielder Darron Gibson has claimed his team are “fucking shit” and has accused a number of his team-mates of not being committed to the club.

Gibson was filmed on Saturday evening, after Sunderland’s 5-0 friendly defeat to Celtic, in conversation with a group of supporters. Seemingly speaking under the influence of alcohol, he invited the fans to name players whose effort was lacking and contrasted their attitudes with his own.

“We’re fucking shit,” he said, before being asked whether that bothered him. “Of course I am [bothered]. I don’t want to be shit. There are too many people are the club who don’t give a fuck.”

Asked who he was referring to, he replied “You tell me”, and appeared to suggest that Lamine Koné, Jeremain Lens and Wahbi Khazri were among those not pulling their weight for Sunderland, who were relegated to the Championship last season after finishing bottom of the Premier League.

Gibson responded “Right, there’s one,” when the name of Koné was put to him; when Lens and Khazri were mentioned he responded “Next one” on both occasions.

When it was put to Gibson that drinking after a heavy defeat did not necessarily present the most committed picture itself, he said: “Right, I might be off my face in here but I still want to play for Sunderland. The rest of them fucking don’t though, the rest of them don’t.”

Gibson made 12 Premier League appearances in 2016-17 and, like the other players mentioned, may find his long-term future lies elsewhere as their recently appointed manager, Simon Grayson, remodels his squad. Sunderland did not comment on the video although Grayson is expected to address Gibson’s remarks this week before Friday’s Championship opener against Derby County.

Wouldn't surprise me. No money for transfers, massively in debt and hardly anything left of any value to flog. Their only summer signings so far:

Aiden McGeady - Ģ250k from Everton
Brendan Galloway - Loan from Everton
James Vaughan - Ģ500,000 from Bury
Jason Steele - Ģ500,000 from Blackburn
Tyias Browning - Loan from Everton
Lewis Grabban - Loan from Bournemouth

The only players they have left that anybody would want are Khaziri, Kone and Lens. I sincerely doubt any of them will be there at the end of August

Man United to Everton to Sunderland

There's definitely a pattern there.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

1-0 loss at home to Forest, meaning....

Sunderland's home record in 2017:

Played 15
Won 0
Drawed 6
Lost 9
Goals Scored: 7
Conceded: 25

Of course 1 of those draws and 2 of the goals were against us ;D

It's absolutely delightful how much of a mess these lot are! It makes it all sweeter after how they went on last summer when we were relegated (sorry, "rafagated' as they hilarious put it)!

Their bitterness towards Rafa is something else and long may it continue! This was before their last match of 15-16 season away to Watford - what a difference 18 months makes  :) :) :) :)

Dreadful team, been slowly destroyed by years and years of terrible decision-making at the top. Been a real trickle down effect of liquid shit, bad owner appoints incompetent people who sign incompetent players for silly money. Only surprise is that they survived for so long.

Don't see how they get back up anytime soon, which for now is obviously way down on the list of priorities behind Championship survival and stability.
