Getting desperate now, but..
« on: April 22, 2003, 04:14:08 pm »
Is there any chance we can apply for Anfield (the ground not the area! ;)) to be listed as an area of environmental importance?

Lets look at the facts:

*The Kop is home to at least 3 pigeons and at least 2 bats

Other parts of the ground will no doubt be homes for similar animals plus all the insects etc. Plus the turf provides much needed oxygen to the local population.

Knocking down the ground could seriously affect the environment and i seriosuly believe the Anfield habitat is a thriving breeding ground and should be protected.

Anyone who says the new ground will provide the same benefits is talking poo.

Well if I remember correctly The Kop is the largest single tier stand in the world.  That might help.

Technically - that overhangs the pitch so the ball is still in play -  we lost 1-0  sorry guys.

Does it? What would happen at arnhem if the ball hit the roof?

Was a class shot though! Only carra could do that

maybe we should practice the technique for corners?
