wonder what we were getting for adidas...imagine that warrior had to pay well over the odds since they are basically an unknown company (tried to buy stock in them when i read this but they arent listed), so 25mm is a great deal i'd imagine.

frankly i wouldnt care if we were playing in blank red shirts with the liverbird if we signed a few more 25m players annually and winning the league again. ayre seems to be doing a great job.

Depends if they do it plain and retro, and ask for fans input, it could be brilliant. Adidas are too set in there ways. Way to generic. Warrior should follow Umbro's templates.

Money talks. £25 million is an massive amount of money for a kit deal.

Yep and I would imagine the press and exposure over here Stateside is going to be huge too, massive amounts of shirt sales of the back of it. Would fully expect a summer tour next year too.
Been all over the world but Anfield is still my home.

That's a fuck load of money. Hopefully the kits still look good though, if they look shit not as many people will buy them and it will be counter-productive. Am I right in saying they haven't got any other football teams?

Am absolutely shocked that Warrior have the cash to pull this off...   I think New Balance bought them out completely, but still...   This is essentially a lacrosse outfitter, who transformed themselves from strictly making lacrosse equipment to now being a Under Armour-lite kind of company.

I guess those Fenway Sports Marketing ties to FSG are paying dividends already.

are they not that big over there then? can only see this as them using lfc to get more general exposure with their skateboarder type stuff into the uk and beyond

Sounds like United currently get £25m with a renegotiation planned for 2012. To get a similar level to them is good work.

Maybe it expires at the end of next season? We've been with them for a while now...
Yes, it expires in the summer of 2012. Good for the club, if we can get that kind of money in. Hope kits will look good. But adidas were good, really loved almost all of the adidas shirts. Shame...
you wouldn't be saying that if it was posted by Sangrinho Putrinada of Argentina.

Warrior is a subsidiary of New Balance. NB is known for their shoes but Warrior has been known for lacrosse gear here in the states. NB shoes are comfortable.
Games I've been to: 2011/2012 - Wolves (h), Man Utd (h), QPR (h), Villa (a), Wigan (a), Newcastle (h), Man City (a)
2012/2013 - Spurs (Friendly), Norwich (h)
2013/2014 - Newcastle (h)
2014/2015 - Olympiakos (friendly), Man City (friendly)

What will be interesting is whether or not we can keep Adidas for some other sort of sponsorship like we did with Carlsberg.

how could that be done??

They are not big in terms of market share in the Pro arena but they provide kits for 10,000's of Junior / School teams.

They also own a company called 'Brine' who are a massive provider of 'soccer' kits and equipment.

What were we getting from Adidas?
"Did we" and "will we" get a percentage from each shirt sale?
How much do our rivals earn per year from shirt sponsorship?

How is it not big news?

1) Biggest deal
2) We have been with Adidas since fuck knows
3) Its not Nike the major rival to Adidas
4) Its Warrior and I have never heard of them have you?
5) It's another massive step in the USA market.
It's just not suprising. It's a nice thing to have over your club, but that's it.

The money is nice, then so is the 80 million from Standered Chartered.

It's title's on the pitch we should be chasing, the one's off the pitch are merely a nice little bonus.

Ye I meant the combined of Adidas and Carlsberg would of got us around 25mill. This does it on it's own!

Sorry misunderstood! From the combined SC and Warrior deals, thats 45M a year! Massive amount of money
Interestingly, France deal with Nike is worth 36M a year. Our new deal just falls short of Barcelona deal with Nike, which is worth 26.3M
