Width, some width, my kingdom for some width.

I can't remember the last time Salah received the ball out wide. I know he might not quite have the pace from say 5 years ago but he's not slow. He seems to be occupying one of their centre backs but we need him on the ball more

It’s mystifying Elliott isn’t on the pitch in midfield

If he was starting, load in here would be saying he should only be used as a sub.  ;D

21st time we’ve fallen behind in a game this season. I thought at half time on Thursday that we would comeback and win but we were awful, I thought today we would show a reaction but we’ve been awful in that first half. Think I’ll just go out for a much needed walk and just check at full time. No way can we allow Klopps reign to end on a whimper like we’ve done this week.

Jurgen has some serious work to do at half time. We are a rabble, exemplified by the number of times that players end up challenging for the same ball. The confidence is visibly draining from the team, to the point that even Mac Allister looks shot. (What on earth was he doing for their goal?)

All is not lost though. Jota has to come on - obviously for Darwin Nunez who has played like an amateur (again). Quansah for Konate. Trent for Endo. I'd hook Salah too who is clearly not match-fit. Elliot is far more effective at the moment.

Full marks to Andy Robbo though. Brilliant. And Luis Diaz, once again, is carrying the attack.

We’re always tired.. why aren’t any of the other teams in the league tired?
We've looked worse since our main players have come back into the squad, youngsters were bringing more energy.

Diaz and Robbo has been good. The rest have been poor. Poor choice for a line up this and its a bit crazy that our manager and staff cant see that we are just so poorly organized that we cant defend a cut back, its just a gaping hole there in every single game.

Crystal Palace have been the better team, better organized, works harder and technically better in some key areas. They deserve their lead and if we cant muster something better than what looks like holiday mode then we have a lot of issues going forward. Complacency and lack of focus once a game has started is highlighted every single game. I would imagine they could use that pep talk in the ring to bring some energy and motivation before the game starts instead of this.

We’ve hit the bar and Diaz very close. We don’t need to be great here to win. Just a little more competent.

They have also had chances to go 2-0 up.

Players gave given up it looks like.

Palace's front 3 look 10 x more threatening than Diaz, Nunez and Salah. Think that sums it up. They aren't gelling together at all.

Sorry way to go out for Klopp unless the players start to give a shit in the second half.

That's fine, we are early in a new cycle and ahead of everyone's expectation, competing with teams that have outspent us by ridiculous amounts.

How are we early into a new cycle when the whole back 5 has been here for more than 3 years+ The only new players are Endo Macallister and Nunez.

I usually refrain from hyperbole - but truly 45 minutes to save our season. Now or never.

Something seems to have broken since the FA cup defeat.

Acid test for Klopp to turn this around now.

I still have faith though - not that we haven't created chances. Come on redmen!!!!

Let's be honest we are currently no where near Arsenal and Abu Dhabi.

We have no control over games and concede a ridiculous amount of chances.

Shame the season is ending this way for Klopp, clear that everyone has checked out

The belief looks gone, I don’t know why we start games so slow and concede first so often, the team has t been switched on, I would definitely change things up and introduce Trent and Jota at half time and keep Elliott as an option for the last 20 minutes

really poor finishing in front of goal, same old shit every week but still plenty of time to get a positive result

This is all about confidence. We’re fearing failure and it’s made us lose ours.  Too many changes, too soon won’t help that.

Keep it round their area, ask them questions, it will come then.  Do what you do, and keep doing it.

And give the ball to Mo Salah

And the good things is, confidence can come back as quick as it goes.

“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”

We dominated United in the FA Cup and League games, our forwards' finishing was just woeful.

The performances in the last game and a half are a new phenomenon, the players' mentality seems to have really dropped,
and our defensive concentration has fallen off a cliff.

Most of the team are out of form. Its been mostly Macca and Diaz for the past month that does not win you enough games.

Agree there, doesn't help pur players want too much time on the ball, it's a common theme. Kind of feels like these games are the injuries finally catching up with us and those players we've got back aren't fit enough or sharp enough to get us through games yet.

45 minutes left of our season potentially. Exciting!

Nothing about us scream league winners. We are simply not good enough.

Our fans have largely ignored it since we've been scraping wins with comebacks and late winners - to the point where they felt entitled and actually believed we'd win the quad. It explains the shite atmosphere on Thursday and today, but I have no explanation for why we're playing so badly and conceding to some of the worst teams in the league.

Shocking and we look like a team really going through a rough patch at the worst possible time, you hoped that Thursday was just one of those mad things which can happen as we’d played well against United despite not killing them off but this performance looks very similar to it.

Endo probably has been the biggest culprit getting caught on the ball but Konate has also had a really poor game.

You’ve just got to hope that we can do enough to win it which is far from impossible given the quality of the players we have but it feels like a big ask on the evidence of that.

This is what's baffling to me. The United game seems to have absolutely destroyed us, yet other than finishing we played really well in it!
