True some tracks are great from a studio point like say Anyway Anyhow Anywhere but Live you just have to have the likes of Behind Blue Eyes & Won't Get Fooled Again.

I went to the reunion gig at Leeds Uni a couple of years ago, it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. Townsend and Daltry were brilliant, Wont Get Fooled Again was the highlight for me.

If you've gone through the official Who canon, don't forget there's also Pete Townshend's solo albums.

Arguably the best live band in the world in their early 70s prime.  8)  One of my faves. Was lucky enough to see them in the late 80s.

Pete and Roger still do pretty well for a couple of old rockers.

I was listening to Live at Leeds with my 3 year old the other day.. and listening to My Generation. I was looking at him down there at under 3 foot tall... and I was listening to John Entwistles's Rickenbacker bass on it and I was thinking,... you haven't got a fucking chance son.

Was at the Belfast gig on Monday night. Great performance and Daltrey's voice, for a fella pushing 70, was amazing.

Absolutely fantastic  show tonight incredible energy from two guys pushing 70 .....and what makes it great is that they actually enjoy what they are doing and you don't feel like they are just going through the motions......
Daltrey's voice is amazing as is Townshends guitar playing .......as usual they piss all over the Stones.

Caught them at the O2 last night.

Was amazed Daltrey's vocals held as well as they did, I've certainly heard him sound much worse.

Reckon that might be it for them.
Where's this Yakimoto fella?

The best band I ever saw live, 1971, I think, it's all a bit hazy.
Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair
She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns
"Come in", She said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm."

I might be in!

Lucky, lucky man. I would have given anything to see them at their best (which was right around then, probably). My second favourite band of all time, after the Police.
At the hole where he went in
Red-Eye called to Wrinkle-Skin.
Hear what little Red-Eye saith:
"Nag, come up and dance with death!'"

Just back from seeing them in Glasgow. I was blown away.

The energy Zak Starkey puts in to his performance is amazing. I can only imagine how good Keith Moon must have been live.
