Almost afraid to start a thread like this, and up until today I really did think it was absolutely a lost cause, but could we possibly still do this?

Against all odds, in a season which has swayed from miserable and awful to one approaching memorable, could we actually end up sneaking in to the Champions League through the back door?

If we do it'll most likely have to be a painful experience. Chelsea are still to play the mancs....twice. Seeing them lift number 19 may very well be the only way we can get back in to that coveted 4th spot.

The belief at this club right now can carry us through. The momentum is most definitely with ourselves. We still have Suarez and Carroll to come in.

Could we do it?!

Wigan at home, then West Ham away? Could easily be looking at 6 wins on the bounce there. I know people don't want to jump the gun, but we can easily still get there is Chelsea keep being so inconsistant.

Put it this way - If we were 6 points behind the mancs right now would you throw in the towel and say the league title is beyond us with 12 games left?

Nope. None of you would.

It was a dream before today, but that performance (coupled with the three before it) has put this now firmly back on the agenda for me.

Possible, but i'm just happy the way were playing now and a europa league finish is still a good achievement this season considering what happened before Dalglish.
You only have to cast your mind back a couple of months and people were posting relegation threads.

Nah, let just worry about the points and see what happens - today is a good result but don't want to tempt fate or think this is the turning point. Kenny ultimately may be the turning point

we dont have to see them do 19th if Chelsea draw both or.and lose and Arsenal win and overtake them when we beat ManU at home. So best would be man u come 2nd and we still get 4th. Oh I wish~~~~~~ but wouldnt be unhappy even if we missed out but play well as a team and Kenny get a full season.

The funny thing is Chelsea were back in the title until today because they still had to play United twice, after today it could be those two games that allow us to nick 4th place.

Let's hope United and Chelsea meet each other in the Champions League and they fight themselves to a standstill, allowing Arsenal to nick the title and Liverpool to pinch 4th place.
