Of two of them Craig, yes. My Dads partner works in a school so I listen to what he tells me, as well a close friend who has had problems with the school his children attend. This isn't me claiming all teachers across the country are the same, I'm sure some go above and beyond.
See, this is the issue. You're getting second/third hand info (and sometimes just making assumptions from someone doing their drive) and assuming that's the norm, and any others actually doing what is being expected of them is 'above and beyond'.
My gf knows and has spoken to her teacher friends in maybe 15 different schools, and I've probably another 5 on top of this, and directly from those (and indirectly from the 100's of other teachers within those schools) they are working at least the same as a normal week, often a lot more.
The work load imposed on them to provide the evidence needed for results for years 11 and 13 has been huge. The creation of new lessons which can be done online has been huge. The implementation of those lessons has been huge. The marking they've had to do is now considerably more complicated.
