Newcastle have somehow regressed from last year. Not really all that. Quite like Dan Burn for his hustle and "good on the ball for a big man" but they wont be back in this comp next year i don't think.

Yep, a baffling signing, no stand out qualities at all, not even any good qualities unless you count running about and the occasional set piece. They seem to get a lot of credit for being "smart" in the transfer market but they sign some absolute shite. Over 100m alone on him and the winger that's no threat whatsoever.

They haven't really splashed the cash as such other than Tonali. They got a bit lucky last season with us and Chelsea being crap.

At least in the second half, they were settling for shots outside the box. They needed to be much more patient than they were.
