Better prepared for the future as a result, a winger we desperately need and a decent premier league striker as a replacement. Hope the summer is just as active.

Torres leaving has probably been on the cards since Rafa left. Big influence to quite a few players.

The demise of Chelsea is over egged. They have a few players like Drogba, Anelka, Lampard on the wrong side of 30 ... the same way we have with Gerrard, Carra, Kyut, Maxi, etc. Chelsea just done the double, and a bad month doesn't make them shite.

The signing of Luiz is huge for them as well. Wouldn't be suprised if they still contested for the title (if they beat United twice, they're only 3 points behind them) and went far in the champions league.

It's a good move for Torres. We're still rebuilding, and that's going to take a good few years.

upswing? why cos we just beat fulham and were 7th in the league? upswing.

Hodgson gone, g&h gone, a couple of wins and clean sheets, new owners putting big money forward for a partner for torres (Suarez)

i would say we were moving in the right direction yes

pauldalglish Paul Dalglish
Couple of others things I want 2 say, after Torres leaving, Carra and Stevie G have just gone up another notch in the legend stakes. Loyalty

Agree with Paul completely here. Legends is right.

Im still a bit sad Torres left but the anger has taken over now to be honest, I say fuck him, doesn't realise what this club did for him. Hope he realises pretty quickly the vast difference between the fans and what a mistake hes made. Hope you win nothing either Nando for opting to join a club we hate

See you later Nando.  I wish you had the class not to move to another English club but yeah whatever.  I just hope we squeezed every bit of the 50m he is worth.  Oh and I hope you go the Shevchenko way lad.  Not because I hate you but because you are an incredible player and I would much rather you played in another league instead.  Thanks for the memories but your legacy will now be tainted forever.

Oh and thanks Roy Hodgson you utter twat for bringing our club into the shambles that has now seen us let the best striker in the world leave.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

I used to think of you as a legend, now you're just a rent boy. I hope you one day stand on that pitch and realise they don't ever chant your name with the same feeling as we did. Because they won't. I'll save my tears and instead cheer on the club even louder as it moves on without you.

Thanks for the good times, such a shame they've become so tainted.
Above all else comes truth & justice.

The nature of the whole affair is what is the worst part of all this. I feel physically sick by it! My one crumb of comfort is that before any of this came about i honestly thought they are an ageing side you will struggle to cope with City's spending power so i hope he wins fuck all there!! Players like that can pick and chose their clubs in all honesty. He may as well joined the Manc's!!
