Another Messi-esque goal today. From putting Nuer on his arse and dinking it, to todays pass and move finish.

Yeah I love goals like that which look so simple but it shows great skill and also understanding with Firmino as well!
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

Mane has been an animal. So much variety to his game - headers, left foot, right foot, dribbling, passing, holding the ball up, releasing it early, everything for the complete attacker.

A "Manimal", even.

Might be worth a dabble at 14-1 to be the Premier League top scorer.

One behind Aguero, Mo, Auba and goal thief.

Said it after the CL final and during pre-season. Mane's gone up another level. Of course not everything he does is going to come off but his self confidence on the ball now has visibly grown.

I know it's a big call, but he might even outshine Mo this season.
Keep it up Sadio!

His defensive shifts aren’t too shabby either.

Mane doesn’t feel pressure beause he just plays football for the joy of it.

When he got sent off against city it broke that and it affected him....

He's actually on 17 goals, and has the most non-penalty goals of anyone in the league.

Really? I stand corrected. Maybe thats why Salah is so desperate to score, maybe he has some sort of bet with Mane .... can;t be as desperate as Harry Kane  ;D

Got him at 50/1 at beginning of the season. With all the attention on Salah and Bobbys creativity I could see him hitting the numbers he deseves for his outstanding all round play. World class player and dont think he was ever doubted.

His run after passing the ball to Firmino to get on the end of the pass was a thing of beauty. In fact, the movement in the Fulham box from him, Firmino, Salah and Lallana caused absolute chaos.

Was a similar article last year after Zidane left from the same publication which stated he would have gone in for mane if he hadnt left.

Time to be worried about that in the summer not now, but I'll remind that you used the exact same reasoning for Coutinho rumours to Barca.

No one has said otherwise, but it does hand us the power given he is contracted until 2020.

That is a sign of Coutinho being happy here, which is what people are being positive about.

Given he is contracted to 2020 we'd not have to do anything. In fact we could keep hold of him on this contract for another 3 seasons after this one and still sell him for a decent fee of that's what we wanted to do - he'd have no choice about it.

Your argument of "signed a new deal" as a cooler to any worry doesn't work with me because you said similar things during the Coutinho saga. I can't quote the other stuff easily as most of the threads are locked but it's there. My argument is that contracts don't really seem to stop a player leaving just ups the price the club will get in the transfer fee. The thing to be positive about is that we're challenging consistently now and maybe Mane is one of the elite players that sees us as a final destination rather than a stepping stone to one.
