Well done Sakho! Will be a great experience for sure. Hope he gets back in our team, Agger-Sakho looks ideal to me.

Sakho played a huge part, he was immense and was a real leader at the back

He was excellent, but I reckon Pogba was even better.  The way he strides around in command like he'll be Europe's no.1 big man for the next decade.  It must be a real killer seeing that if you'd let him slip out your grasp.

Hell of a spine to that team.  Sakho and Varane in central defence could be an awesome partnership for France.

We're lucky to have Sakho I think, great business by the club to get him.

Agree with this. Despite how well Agger/Skrtel have been playing. Who would you drop out of the two though? I'm inclined to go with Sktrel, because I always want one CB who can bring the ball out.

It'll never be Skrtel for Sakho, I think the way it has been set up is Agger/Sakho - Skrtel/Toure.

Sahko isn't bad at bringing the ball out by any means anyway so I'm not sure why you used that as reasoning.

He isn't to be fair, but Agger is far and away the best at it at the club. Next best would be Sakho.

Love how he thought about taking his shirt off, but then decided he'd rather not get a yellow card :)

So pleased for him, hope he continues his excellent form for us :)

Not sure I agree. Agger is a Rolles Royce defender when on form, but Sakho has a rare mix of finesse and brute force. He'd be perfect to pair with Toure for the Everton game.

CB pairing was Sakho-Varane. Sakho was the leader at the back : stunning in the air, solid with his passing, and was the organizer at the back ala Carra. A true MOM performance with the icing on the cake with the goals.

Calm down lads...It was clearly an own goal, and Mamadou did not even touch it.

I was watching it live and only the first look "looked" like it was Sakho´s goal.  All replays clearly showed that it was tap in from Ukranian defender.

Also at the uefa.com is Gusev the scorer.

Bollocks. Clearly off Sakho's right leg/side-of-knee.

being in France I watched the match with all my mates, Sakho was absolutely incredible. Few things to talk about, he is a born leader ordering everyone making sure that the defensive line was kept really reminded me of Carra. Really comfortable on the ball yet again, did not see one misplaced pass and always finds a way of getting himself out of trouble with two or three touches, seemed to alternate nicely with Varrane as a sweeper or the one pressing the ball. His movement for the goals was actually impressive, for the first he keeps himself onside and anticipates the rebound, for the second he actually forces the CB to make the error by attacking the ball, very impressive for a CB. Couple issues were turning his back to a couple of shots and being a rash on a few occasions though understandably so on such a big occasion.
;D  Mate of mine and me are the same, everyone swears we are brothers when we're out. He calls me slaphead, I call him slaphead, so when I see him I go "slap" and he replies "slap. People be looking and thinking what the f**k are these 2 on  ;D
but he's a blue nose, so he's a c*nt

I'm really pleased with the qualifying process insofar as we had a lot of players do exceptionally well and then end up qualified which is major karma right there, team spirit wise. This last by Sakho is just icing on the cake!

and what an icing that's a perma-story, its in the catalogue forever, so what does that do for your confidence when your Sakho already? The French are going to hotly debate if Sakho put the second one it in himself or not 40 years from now  ;D

nothing but net its all good.

Rodgers has already managed to turn Suarez and Sturridge into one of the most explosive partnerships in the league. If he can perform similar magic with Agger and Sakho, we'll be an absolute bastard of a team to overcome even for the best of sides.

That fine, I saw that angle too. But lets not confuse that with what the French will argue about in 40 years time.

Sure, the replay seems clear, but its heavily outnumbered by inconclusive ones.  ;D  this ones goin' legend.
