I’ve commented on here before than LFC seem to collect and hoard a ridiculous number of academy goalies who will barely get a game. So Neil Jones (goal), picked up in the Echo, says we have signed Liam Hughes, a 19 yo from Celtic , as back up U23. They’ve already bought in Pitaluga, who I am not impressed with and who I think should be competing for the U18 shirt not U23s, with Jaros barely getting any game time and Winterbottom completely ignored. At the beginning of the season it looked like they offered Winterbottom a new contract but that he was contemplating moving on - the list of squad players kept on implied that. Really he would have done better not joining in the first place. Then we have 4 more in the U18s. Kelly (who has probably only played in friendlies) and Orjzinski (or similar), and first years Davies and Mrozek. It’s not like we get good sell on fees from specialising in goalies because they never get to show their skills without games. I just don’t get it.
