Yep, said this last night, would be just bloody typical. And the thought of Droopy's smug face is too much.

Worried about it the minute he took over

Oddly enough our demise last season started with our 20th game, our 20th game this season is QPR. Our last 6 results are exactly the same as they were last season: DWDLWW

No, we don't have the Carling Cup to distract us this time.  ;)

Michael Owen on Everton; 'They're a really strong team. I think when you watch them you can see, at least I certainly do, that they're really strong down the left hand side.'

Yeah, you're a real genius for pointing that out, Mickey.

Match of the Day is best watched after first of all sky plussing it.
I can then fast forward through all the talking shite and just watch the football.

I may be on my own here but I thought Michael and Hansen spoke a lot of sense yesterday for once and thoroughly enjoyed the show. I didn't find my self correcting them or Colin Murray or the commentators which is a familiar site when watching it.

They don't say anything wrong pre se. It's just that they never give any insightful analysis of some sort.

Can you remember one thing Owen said that you hadn't though about yourself?

I actually found the little bit he did on our 2nd goal quite interesting saying it's the sort of move that gets practised in training all the time. Maybe I'm thick but that was a new insight for me.

Agree with the overall consensus that he is a terrible dullard though!

The exposure of Silva was a weak spot that United had identified and overlapping with Rafael/Valencia worked. Silva has/had a tendency to come central allowing Gael Clichy to have a torrid time.

I believe Owen said this or Hansen.

aye, Billy Bremner on Keegan.
Keegan got sent off in that game didn't he?
charity shield I think.

They both did.  It was the 74 Charity Shield, the first at Wembley.  Shithouse Giles decked Keegan and walked away.  15 minutes later Bremner had a go and Keegan retaliated.  Fistycuffs preceded a double sending off, and as it was at the scoreboard end it was the longest possible walk to the tunnel.  It finished 1-1 and we won on penalties 10 - 9 I think,  I know David Harvey belted his Charlie Adam style over the roof so it has to be big numbers for the goalie to take one..

Bet he said "I would have myself in the XI instead of Rooney if I was playing" soon after he drafted that Mancs XI lineup, that bell.

To be fair, him and Hansen had alternate picks.  I guess he went with RVP, Rooney Evra Hart and Evans as his early picks, with Hansen going with defenders and midfielders first up.  I reckon Owen's pick of Ballotelli was just to stop Hansen having him, as he has Young up front.

Why was that not given as an indirect free kick for a 'passback' to the keeper?
