Loads of film trucks the other day at the Innovation Park just next to the Littlewoods building.

Anyone know what’s going on?

Edit:  On further investigation, I see its a purpose built shoot space and studios called “The Depot”.  Looks like that’s being utilised for something quite big.

Yeah, there are plans to do up the Littlewoods building and make it a studio space. It's been discussed on here in a few threads. Think the drawing showed one or two large warehouse style buildings next to it. Seems like something is actually happening?!

Maybe they're documenting the restoration of the building, seeing as it will become their new home? I imagine visitors could see a giant videoscreen going in, showing the whole history of the building, the state it ended up in, and the process of bringing it back to its full glory? :)
I don't always visit Lobster Pot.  But when I do. I sit.

There has been work on cleaning out the inside of the Littlewoods buildings recently, I know Steve Rotheram was down there recently doing interviews about it. I pray that one actually comes to fruition as it's by far the most interesting development in the city to me.

A mate told me Cillian Murphy was filming something yesterday around the Showcase cinema. Some sort of Peaky Blinders thing, I think.

Yeah, I enquired about the Littlewoods building and the plans for its regeneration on here a few weeks ago.  Hopefully one day they will have some top studios there and make Liverpool "The Hollywood of the North".

I now realize the filming I was referring to earlier, is actually happening at 'The Depot' next door.  This is already an established shooting space.

From The Depot, Liverpool

"The Depot features two 20,000 ft² units of purpose-built shoot space with parking in Liverpool for use by high-end film and TV productions. Managed by Liverpool Film Office, The Depot is perfectly placed for a complete production package. Now open for enquiries, this is a home for filmmaker’s to tell the most ambitious stories."
