A game that shows a fair reflection of the teams IMO. We are good but I think we'll fall short of City. They have more belief and quality in the final third. You can see Darwin doesn't have that confidence he's going to score a lot of the time and Mo doesn't seem to step it up away in the big games. Midfield is tidy but not enough to make a difference in these games.

We'll finish top 4 but we need 2 more signings to compete for the title.

It's fucking annoying how good Ake has been for these. Barely played at all for a couple of years and always promised to be a weak link but now he's in the best years of his career and looks really good. Should have put a foot in before that goal though, think we were scared to make the tackle. Even a striker with a tenth of the ability Haaland has in front of goal can hurt you there.

This clearly isn't the case. We have been better bar the couple of mistakes leading to their goal. Ali makes a mistake and mistakes happen but what were Sbozo and Trent doing? That was really terrible from both of them. Trent really looks like a passenger while defending against Doku.

Matip has been our best player followed by Kostas. Macca has had a decent game and is the only one in midfield who's actually doing anything. Both Jones and Sbozo have not been great and have to step it up.

Jota hasn't been involved at all. He needs to make more runs through the middle. He won't get much time and space out wide with walker playing there.

I'd bring on Grav and Diaz within the next 10 minutes or so if things don't change and potentially Harvey on later for Sbozo

This is nonsense. Mac didnt do nothing of the sort. It was in transition that's up to TAA and Dom to deal with. Mac has been brilliant first half

It's ironic the players I was worried about in Tsimikas, Matip and Mac haven't put a foot wrong. The ones you think are usually more assured don't seem at the races compared to those.

He's been a coward on the ball and has actually given it away a few times as well - not a good combination.

Jones has been available and getting on the ball, but he holds on it for too long, and either our attacking impetus goes or City nick it off him and go on the counter.  It's frustrating because he does well to get on the ball and in space, but he just hasn't released the right pass.  Then again, he's not the only one guilty of overplaying when we do get into good positions.
