Scored a great freekick today.

He’s been promising in his three appearances. Looks to play forward and has a bit of vision. Occasionally looks lightweight but works hard to win it back. Obviously both goals have been exceptional.

As well as Clarkson adjusting to new teammates, Aberdeen have 8-9 new signings still integrating and things are fluctuating week to week.

Nothing yet to suggest he’ll end up back getting games for Liverpool in the long term.

My first post as an Aberdeen and Liverpool supporter so be nice!

So we have Leigton Clarkson on loan from you lads….blooming eck what a player (even for Scottish football standards)! I suspect that you lot will be taking him back shortly…he scored another screamer yesterday (did the same against St Mirren a few weeks ago).  We are comparing him to Maddison that came on loan a few years ago but I think he’s better. Cracking player!  Check his goal:

It’s not only the goal - his massing movement is different class.  I definitely see him playing first team Liverpool within the year.

Saw the goal online last night, good to hear he's doing well up there.

And welcome to RAWK!

I'm glad he's doing well.  Realistically the SPL and the Premier League - particular the top six - are quite a long way apart but he's got time on his side.  I think Clarkson got one of the better loans so hopefully he'll come back a lot better off the back of it.

A bit off-topic I think all of our player threads should just be:

*name* - *positive adjective*!!!

You can't use the same adjective twice for current players though.

Morton for Blackburn, they're currently 2-1 up against Bradford but not sure how he's doing. Looks like he'll play the 90 though.

I went to watch Bradford v Blackburn tonight.

Morton played full 90 mins at Centre Back and let me tell you all. He was fucking outstanding.

Controlled everything from the back. Passing was top draw. Took corners.

Quality player.

Jaros played for Stockport against Leicester.  He kept a clean sheet and saved Maddison's penalty in the shoot-out.  The headlines will go to the Leicester 'keeper who saved three penalties but another decent showing from Jaros.

That's all good stuff but I'm not accepting a centre back taking corners.  It's just not right!

That's the way it should be, for any youngster to break into the best team in the world, he's got to have something which is why, when we see that we get excited (Arnold, Elliot, Jones, Kelleher etc). So many players are very good  but only good enough for another decent club (Wilson, Ibe, Solanke, Kent, Woodburn, Ward, Williams) same at City except they never get anywhere near the first team there (Foden excepted of course).

Morton and Bajcetic seem to be in that zone

Looks like it's been a productive loan for him, if he keeps it up, who knows what happens when he returns with our current holes in the squad.

Why are we still watching loans from 3 years ago? If they were going to make it, they'd have made it by now.
