Really nice hearing him speak like that to be honest, and you can't say the lad hasn't been trying. He's pretty much rebuilt my fanship of him again over the past month, just by doing his thing and clearly putting the hours in on and off the field. I'm so fucking soft!

Would feel a bit more relaxed and secure if he picked up a hint of a scouse twang though, some regional slang popping up here and there maybe. That's how you know you've got to them, like we did Didi and Rafa. Molby's got to be our finest achievement on that front.

So happy to have been able to follow his career. We may see players as good as him, but will there be another local lad who will perform at his level for 15 years?

I've traveled the world and Gerrard is held in the highest regard no matter where you go, as a player, a leader, and a fighter.

I hope someone comes along and does better, but it's unlikely.
