if penix is picking up a gold jacket in 20 years time that pick still won't make any sense.

odd little coincidence how 2 teams traded with the Bills to go and get kids called xavier.

The Penix pick doesn't make any sense, unless they think Cousins isn't going to be around when his contract expires, even then that's 4 years away, but then the Falcons could have waited a couple of years & drafted a QB to be Cousins replacement.

Penix was at 8 which is even worse. They could have gone for the best defensive player in the draft or at least given Cousins some support.

Yep. Daft, wasteful pick

Dallas once again not screwing up. Second best tackle at #29 and a third rounder for 5 spots and a 7th next year......
It's not flashy, but it's a good pick.

Fingers crossed to today!

the falcons do know they've just signed cousins don't they?

It was an odd pick in general, but then got weirder when you see his age and that he was considered to be a more NFL-ready option, which would seem to be even more unnecessary for them.

Hi Spencer Hall  :D  :wave

The draft was going so normally until the Falcons pulled that one.
Hope they sign a few more QBs in the later rounds.

I've nothing to go on with this other than the clips but the Tight end Brock Bowers looks like he could be a great player to watch. Looks really explosive for the position.

He was highly-rated prior to the draft and thought to be a likely top 10 pick until that run on QB's pushed him further down.
