Especially if you think you've already won it and then see it slipping away. If they get Yousuf cheap I think Australia will win with 150. In Warne/McGrath days they would have had enough with 100.
If it transpired there was dodgy betting on this game it would n to surprise me.

The keeper's woes started by almost deliberately not running out Shane Watson in 2nd innings and then carried on like he had a different agenda. The leg side spill off Siddle was one of the worst keeper spills I've seen.

No real surprise on the Aussies bowling them out once they got the very ordinary Siddle out of the attack and at 3-1 before the first ball of Pakistan's 2nd innings for once I had a green hat on !!

I have to wonder how Pakistan managed to lose that Test?  They had 206 run lead on first innings and had the Aussie's 8 down with only a 5o odd run lead.

It was on the radio this morning that there was a MASSIVE betting plunge on Australia after the 8th wicket fell.  Some agencies had them out to $9.

Just like some teams have a habit of winning, some teams make losing a habit. I read somewhere that they didn't play a test match the whole of last year, and the one victory they had against the Kiwis was the first in 2-3 years. Ponting and his men won because they were willing to fight till the last ball.  I think that the team in green can win T20 and one dayers, but they are not professional enough to compete in test matches.

Same old story over in Hobart, Australia won the toss, Pakistan had Australia reeling at 70/3, Ponting was also dropped on 0 - an absolute sitter, goes on to make his 39th century.

At the end of the first day Australia 302/3, Ponting no 137, Clarke no 111.

Couldn't believe the shit bowling tactics from Pakistan. Bowling overs of what should have been called wides seems stupid for a match that in the end is meaningless. Why not go out and try and get some confidence and good experience. Not negative shit.

After Ponting's double hundred, you would think that Pakistanis will learn and quit making mistakes for at least a day or two, but two stupid run outs later, I think they just don't want to learn.

Since no one has posted it yet, what a run chase by the Aussies. Needing 275 for the win they get it with an over an a half to spare after being 2-36 or something after 9 overs. I thought we were in trouble at that stage but a great performance from White coupled with his century partnership with Clarke was the game changer.

The Pakistani cricket team is indeed shambolic, but getting rid of Yousuf is almost certainly the right decision. He makes Ponting look like a Taylor or a Waugh.

IPL Lovers Rejoice!

YouTube to stream IPL cricket live: Google

MUMBAI (AFP) – Google announced Wednesday its videosharing website YouTube will stream all Indian Premier League cricket matches live in a deal that highlights the Internet giant's broadcasting ambitions.
The third season of the lucrative IPL, which features the world's top players in eight teams owned by rich businessmen and Bollywood stars, will be held in March and April this year.
Under the terms of the agreement, Google will have exclusive online rights for IPL content for two years, and Google and IPL will jointly share revenues from sponsorship and advertising.
The deal is the first under which Google will stream a sports event live.

Don't have much time for Shahid Afridi, think he's a c*nt.

But to be caught biting the ball in an attempt to tamper with it is just outrageous. What was he thinking?

He's cheated before, and is the ban of two T20 games really enough?

No. Repeat offenders should be given longer bans. He won't care about missing 2 T20 games. Saying that, a 2 game ban is light even for first time offenders.

South Africa tour of India starts in 2 days now. I reckon it's going to be a whitewash if the wicket is turning. A green top will suit the SAffers. SA need to win 2-0 to regain the Number 1 test ranking. A 1-0 means both teams are leveled at 123 points. Anything less and India remains the best test team on the planet.

They need to win but with the coach leaving its not going to be easy.  They got a good squad and all that but winning on the sub-continent is no easy feat.  Do you think the number 1 ranking matters to either team?

Matters to India for sure.

Think this series was previously only meant to be 5 ODIs, and was changed to two Test matches once India topped the ICC rankings.

So it matters when they are ranked number 1, otherwise it is ODI's that people care more about?
