For those who haven't got tickets to the game itself, Madrid is expected to lay on big screens in plazas across the capital for fans to watch the game. But they haven't been announced yet, most likely because city authorities are not keen to encourage hoards of fans without tickets to come over.

Basically they are putting on screens but just not saying as they want to discourage too many fans coming

22 of us went in the ballot.  1 successful.  I’m 20266 on the waiting list 

I’ve got return flights from Luton to Barcelona if anyone’s interested?  Going Friday 1pm via Geneva and arriving around 8pm.  Comes back Sunday evening via Gdańsk and arrives 8am Monday morning.  Just looking to recover some of the cost and believe the names on the flights can be changed for between £20 and £50 per flight.   Let me know if anyone’s interested.  Total cost will be around £350 as i’ll Help with name change costs.  You can get bus/train or rental car from Barcelona to

Had booked travel on the hope i’d Be successful but no luck so have got return flights from Luton to Barcelona if anyone wants to buy them. Go out on the Friday 1pm via Geneva and landing after 8pm then back Sunday night via Gdańsk and arrive Luton 8am.  Believe the names on tickets can be changed for a small cost per flight.  Let me know if anyone is interested.  Would love to go Madrid but the wife will kill me for spending the money when I don’t have a ticket (downsides of being married

Just to spoke to TC as didn't get a ticket on my member card in the ballot but will have a ticket bought for me from someone who was successful.  They are saying that because I used my member card on the application, I have lost the flight!!  That's not what happened last year.

You'll definitely get one with that - last season I think 750 odd got one on the waiting list at least.

No luck for me this time - we had 3 entered:

1 = 1862 waiting list
1 = 6027 waiting list
1 = 16,482 waiting list!

We got really lucky last season and managed to get 2 for Kiev.

I am disappointed but it's purely a lottery. The club are put in an absolutely awful situation because UEFA will never give a shit about the fans.

For those going I hope it's an absolute belter - loved every minute of the day in Kiev.

I'm still going to buy my match ticket and hope that the bloke was wrong and they don't just automatically cancel my booking when the club confirm my own card has been unsuccessful.  I can prove  to them I have a ticket officially through the club so not sure why they have to be so anal - other than they have overbooked massively.

This highlights for me (again) that the whole ticketing system at the club is broke.

Stories of lads who've been to nearly every euro away/league away not getting a ticket.

They've essentially benefited from the system throughout the season (getting tickets off other people probably from the circles they are in) and now the actual ticket holder is either going themselves or even touting it on.

Can't see an easy answer without ripping it up and starting again. Or asking for proof that you were actually there.

Deffo legit flew with them to/from Spain a few times. Significantly better than Ryanair and Easyjet

They’re Spanish mate, Vueling is basically “Flying” in Spanish.

Flew with them a few months ago on the way back from Barcelona and they were spot on.

They are one of the better budget airlines in my opinion. As they're Spanish, I can imagine they'll be organised pretty well and not have many/any delays at all at the airport versus some of the chartered options.

It’s more expensive for me definitely and it will be more expensive over there as well.

It was about £1.50 a pint in Kiev which was boss. We flew back via Copenhagen and it was £10 a pint in the airport and we were like “yer wha?!”

Had 0/2 last year and 1/2 the year before and luckily sourced a second ticket from a guy in the Wirral.

I'll be going over on my own this time though as I'm on holiday in Portugal.

I've got an Airbnb by the ground booked for 2 people but it's £300 so I might get rid and see if I can just sleep in the train station or somewhere equally unpleasant
