:lmao Christ what an image.

We’re giving Palace the big build up here. Just want it to be 0-0 at half time for a change and not done and dusted inside 15 minutes.

Zaha.... on the break in a nil nil match with 5 minutes to go ---- I want Man City to live with it for a few minutes and then get nothing.

Dream Scenario (1-0 Palace on a counter) - would feel so good.

WTF was the goalkeeper doing on his knees?  Awful positioning and he needed to close the angle --- just shite all the way around.

Sounds like he put out a team of reserves with Riedewald, Sorloth and Wickham probably the biggest names. All three also featured on Saturday as they lost to Young Boys

Hodgson, for some reason never gets called out in the media for his suppressing of expectations and nobody ever seems to ask why a squad containing Sakho, Van Aanholt, Milivojevic, Meyer, Townsend and Zaha are consistently hovering around the relegation zone when they should comfortably be mid-table. Their squad is at least as good as Watford's and Southampton's and is better than the promoted sides, Brighton and Burnley IMO.

I'm sure a foreign manager would have been criticised by now but of course, the man who for all his vast experience has never won a single trophy in his own country and was one of Englands worst ever managers just seems to escape scrutiny - it's baffling.

They did finish midtable though - 11th on goal difference  two seasons ago, 12th last season. They were closer to Arsenal than they were to Swansea.

He's the very definition of "midtable" manager :)

Yeah that's what I'm saying - they are midtable players and therefore should be midtable as a complete minimum expectation.

When their own manager comes out with quotes patting himself on the back for merely keeping them in the league or talks about the potential for relegation, he should be laughed out of town for even suggesting it. But Hodgson as we know is a master of self-promotion, he's his own biggest fan.

This is the man who once said:

''Of course, my track record, if people bothered to study it, would put me in the same category as [Sir Alex] Ferguson enjoys today, but people don’t talk about what I’ve done outside England.''
