Because Evra withdrew his hand. Have you not watched the footage?

To be honest it did look like Suarez wasn't planning on shaking his hand anyway, didn't even look at Evra, I wouldn't, look what Evra has caused.

This is exactly what happened.
Neither player wanted to shake hands but after Suarez walked on, Evra made a big deal of it to gain the immediate moral high ground.
He is 100% shithouse that fucker.

Evra totally tried to make Suarez "work for it". Total classless BS. Evra should be the one being crucified in the media not Suarez. I'm not saying Evra refused to shake hands but he tried to show up Suarez and Suarez didn't take the bait and why should he? SAF and Evra can go blow each other.

Its a fucking joke that they are all talking about the handshake, if they dont want to shake hands who cares....

It never states that you have to shake hands....

Ferguson is a c*nt as is the rest but we didnt play well at all... Downing is a disgrace, he shouldnt be anywhere near the first team... 19m for what?? He doesnt want the ball, isnt actively trying something and is just hiding until he gets subbed...

worst player I have seen in the past years I think in relation to his fucking fee...

Suarez should have shaken his hand. If it is true that it was Evra who withdrew his hand, as there are some pictures floating around that suggest that may have been the case, he should have gone out of his way to still shake his hand anyway.

Its just reopened the whole thing rather than drawing a line under it. He should have swallowed his pride for the sake of the club and for the sake of Kenny.

I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

On the pitch, we were rubbish and it is patently clear that in the summer we need a complete overhaul down both flanks.
People talk about us need one winger...I think we need 3 to be honest and sell Downing unless he finds something that could be described as passable form...he is just anonymous.
We need a first choice wide man on both sides and a player capable of playing on both sides...not unlike Bellamy but younger.
We obviously need a front man as well and we need another midfielder.
That's a minimum of 5 top class players we need this summer to be a proper force IMO.
Maxi and Dirk will probably leave, Downing must be a big possibility, as is Andy, but it won't bring in that much, certainly not enough to fund an overhaul like we need.
So either the owners bite the bullet and spend big out of their own pockets, or we do the unthinkable and sell Luis
A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? It's the shit that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come

As someone not from England I was really suprised on the real hatred between the players  when watching the "in-the-tunnel"- vid on the main page. With City there were handshakes, smiles all around, and the other way around. It was such a friendly atmosphere that you did wonder how the could put down a decent competition on the pitch. The complete contrast with United. I think only some physios did shake hands. Besides that, silence and looks down. In this game, it for sure didn´t get any better.

I think Suarez was right not to shake hands. But I am suprised on how huge the media and people in charge let this happen and I think that Ferguson, again, played a pretty nasty role in all this.

Where can I find that video?

Bacon face coming out and saying Suarez should never play for Liverpool again, while his players have been involved in "forgetting" to attend a drug test, sleeping with prostitutes, kicking opposition players, the getting your FA to reduce your ban and then calling on people to get sent off for doing the exact same fucking thing, captaining your country at a world cup and refusing to play, honestly it would be funny if it wasn't so fucking hypocritical. The media's stance on all of this is the most distressing, now obviously we have never been media darlings, but christ the amount of bias today was something to behold. Gary Neville and Darren Fletcher doing the post match "analysis" for Sky, Suarez being condemned for refusing to shake the hand of a man who he clearly feels stitched him up for being a  racist, Liverpool's staunch support for Suarez being condemned but the stupid fucks never even established why Liverpool were being so supportive of him. I can undestand why Suarez refused to shake his hand, but given all the bullshit that's been swirling around about the issue for the last few months perhaps for the good of the club he should have swallowed his fucking pride and done, if only so the fucking spastics don't have more ammunition to aim at Liverpool. I'm just hoping that the stance the club took yesterday towards who was invited to attend the press conference is continued.
I think we have some posibilities, no?
