Where have we got people in the world on here who are members then? Where is the potential for branches? Post where you live.

Macclesfield.

I don't suppose anyone has the time to post details of all the branches that have been suggested so far? I've had a quick scan through the 7 pages so far, but it would be a lot easier if there were something at the top of the first page.

I've been contacted in relation to 20 British or overseas potential branches.

To date Sweden, the Poor Scouser Tommy website and London (after Thursday) will be up and running.

If you are a member and haven't received an email from the Union pointing you in the direction of someone willing to put a branch together then no one in your area has got as far as volunteering to coordinate it.

theres a nice ring to that compadre

are you part of a supporters club over there ? and is there indeed a  LFC supporters club in Egypt ? and if so any details?

There isn't indeed a LFC supporters club in Egypt, however if someone from the SOS came here and PROMOTED THE SOS as the LFC unofficial supporters club with some offers to join as well as some merchandise (not necesarly the official ones), lots of people will join because Liverpool has a GOOD following here in Egypt.

I don't want to sound like a twat but unfortunatly thats the way it works here, many Liverpool fans are unaware of the club's past as well as the current crisis, as most didn't start watching the EPL till around 2006-07 so we need so someone need to educate them about whats happening and why to pay money to join the union.

Have not read through all the posting, has anyone mentioned about a Malaysian branch? I wouldn't mind helping.

It might be an idea to snap up a few domain names. It's easy(ish) for people within one city to meet up, but coming from the four corners of a country is a different matter entirely. Could have an open page, like wikipedia where people can canvas plans/ideas?

are any of the members affiliated to any Liverpool supporters clubs there ?

you may have already touched on this with the lads/lasses your garnering , but does it seem feasible to recruit '' disaffected'' Reds  here to swell the numbers ?

Thanks will check out the supporter clubs, I am sure there are at least a handful of people who are affiliated. Numbers growing by 1-2 per day, mainly due to a campaign on twitter.com. Could be useful for other prospective branches...

I very much doubt they'd open one. Them attending a meeting isn't beyond the realms of possibility however.

The aim of SOS is to get a member on the Board and Share LFC want to get a stake on the Board or even ownership. I've been thinking about this and I think I've got a better idea.

We need to set-up 5 other SOS type groups not obviously associated with SOS but following them with similar membership and someone on the Board. That way (I think someone said 5 votes on the Board gains control) we will have control and we only need to get a total of about 30,000 members, less than attend Anfield for a game and only needing about 2 - 3% of LFC fans to join up.

What do you think?

I think the long term aim of SOS is to get a member on the Board isn't it? Just building on that.
