Napoli looked pretty flat last night, I suspect Milan are going to put them out the CL this week and then it’ll be a bit of an anticlimactic walk across the line.

Strangely I secretly fancy Milan for the CL this year.  It shouldn’t be possible and it’s not like they’re putting together a great run themselves, but I do rate them for some reason.

I think it was a tentative performance due to what’s coming in midweek although I do agree with you, Milan are now slight favourites for the tie.
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored

It’s a joke isn’t it. Abu Dhabi banned then not banned. Juventus docked points then not docked points.
No doubt whatever punishment is given to Abu Dhabi by the PL will be overturned.

One of the Milan teams going to the European Cup final, Fiorentina looking good for a Conference League win, Juve the same in the Europa League.

It's like it's the 90s again, or something.

It’s a joke isn’t it.

The sense in this case is that Juventus are still going to receive some punishment. The returning of points is merely a temporary reprieve. Gazzetta for example thinks the chances of Juventus participating in the CL next year is slim and Juventus fans seem to be more worried about the likelihood that they could end up with a points penalty that fucks them over next season instead of just this one. Also UEFA are probably going to punish them as well, so it may just be a stay of execution

I hated mourinho for ages and he has done some real shitty stuff but in some off the field stuff he comes across alright. I’m not sure why but I’m kind of enjoying seeing him do quite well at Roma. He seems to have a good bond with the fans and looks like he’s enjoying football - looked like he hated football when he was at utd and spurs. He can be a prick but doesn’t try to hide it like pep who wants everyone to love him

Yeah, to be fair to him he's doing alright at Roma. They were one of the favourites for the Conference League last year so wasn't surprised they won it, but if they win the Europa this season it's definitely a big achievement for the club. Have to remember they don't really have a great history of winning trophies despite their size as one of Italy's biggest clubs

Juve diving all over the place - Di Maria (who's always been a major c*nt anyway) then Quadrado... And Napoli showed them how it's done. If Quadrado hadn't dived and stayed to protest, perhaps he could have helped prevent the goal... Karma is a bitch!

Interesting to note that neither Inter or Roma's shirts today feature their hideous main sponsor Digitalbits because in the words of Gabriele Marcotti, "Digitalbits was supposed to pay them €24m this season but instead paid €0."

Who'd have thought getting into bed with cryptocurrency companies might have been a bad idea?

Looks like the Napoli celebrations will have to wait. Credit to Salernitana - rode their luck, but stayed in it, resolute, and thought they were going to score in injury-time.

Yeah I thought Salernitana were going to win it at the end. Napoli were far too comfortable thinking it was a done deal after scoring.

I’ve just happened upon this lot plying their trade in Serie C. There’s no link to Manchester City so far as I can tell. I don’t approve of this, Italian football shouldn’t be aspiring to this.

Napoli can still become champions on goal difference if they lose all of their games, right? Even if Lazio wins their remaining games with +2 and Napoli loses by -1... They will get a point somewhere anyway.

Goal difference doesn't count in Serie A for the title, there'd be a playoff if two teams are level on points. Not that it will happen. :)

Mad that the top 4 race is between 6 teams and they all play each other this weekend! Milan v Lazio, Roma, v Inter and Atalanta v Juve. Lazio look pretty safe even if they lose at Milan. Gonna be some big guns in the Europa!
