Just saw about Carl Weathers. Damn, he looked good for his age. Wasn't a hint anything was wrong with him, it's so sudden. The Mandalorian cast and crew will be devastated by the news.

Quote
His most recent roles included Greef Karga in The Mandalorian which scored him an Emmy nomination for outstanding guest actor in a drama series. He also directed two episodes.

Didn't know he directed on the show too. RIP.

Love Carl Weathers. Along with the great stuff everyone's mentioned, we can't forget Action Jackson.

"Jackson, in my years on the force I've never met a more dedicated policeman. I know you're a very proud man and you have much to be proud of. High school track star, Harvard law degree...."

Action Jackson was brilliant! Reading/seeing the online tributes from Sly, Arnold and Jesse Ventura was very touching.

Michael Jayston has died aged 88.

May not be the most memorable of names, but he did play Del Boy's father in law in Only Fools.. who found the watch that made the Trotters rich. And played the Valeyard in one of the Colin Baker series of Doctor Who.

But he's probably best known for his John Le Carré connection. He played Peter Guillem in the original Tinker Tailor, and then went on to narrate nearly all of Le Carré's novels after that, and might just have been the best audiobook narrator of them all.

Former football star and actor in Naked Gun and Capricorn One, OJ Simpson has died of cancer. Why does the lord take the good ones so young?

I think those are the first things we remember when we hear the name OJ Simpson anyway.

Don't remember that film, funny title though  :D

You should all watch the ESPN documentary series OJ: Made in America though. The definitive telling not just of the OJ story, but of celebrity and race relations in the US in the 2nd half of the 20th C. (75% of potential jurors polled in the pre-trial questionnaire said that it was unlikely that OJ murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman because he played football for USC).

RIP.

Brilliant Actor, he had some iconic scenes in LOTR.

I grew up genuinely thinking Bernard was a Scouser as I'd only seen him in Boys from the Blackstuff and No Surrender.

He's exactly the same age as my mum, 17 December 1944. Not spoken to her in 9 years, and I hear she has alzheimer's. A stark reminder that I'll probably lose her soon too. :(

One of my favourite movie scenes - his speech, the music, the scale of it, all just gives me goosebumps.

There's something about his performance as Theoden that really stands out for me and makes him endlessly quotable. Maybe it's because he strikes that perfect balance of Shakespearean enough to make the lines epic and memorable, but without tipping over into hammy or over-the-top delivery.
