I cant find these options in acestream or the VLC that it runs through.

Try an xp vm. This is for stream torrent, but you could just us acestream client instead

If you right click on the acestream icon and select options. Some of them are in advanced options

When acestream is open, there is a circle icon with a triangle in it in the hidden icons menu on the right hand side of your task bar. Right click that
