No.

Fuckers. Build up a great story with great characters and an incredible back story, then dump it all for a sunnier experience.

Still going to buy it in about 20 minutes, mind.

I'd love to pitch up to Tesco at midnight and get this, but I'm going to wait till summer when I can have a real bash at it.

Thems a lot of big words to say "its good".

Or he eloquently and effectively expresses how good the game actually is, which is a refreshing change in the poor state of video game journalism.

Fuck off the lot of you. I've a bit of mancrush on Sessler  ;)

Anyway, I bought a key off for this game off a website, and it turned out to be a duplicate key that was invalid. So now I've got to scramble across tech support.  :butt

None of these players come close to matching the fractured psyche of BioShock’s Sander Cohen, or Andrew Ryan’s misplaced self-righteousness. In fact, BioShock Infinite’s final third trades words, characters and ideals for bullets and bombs. Its cast makes way for gunfights that seem to outstay their welcome.

The game falls into a similar trap as Dead Space 3, steadily shifting focus from pathos and immersion to walled off arenas full of enemies. Kill everyone in the area and you may proceed. It feels like filler compared to the incredible sights and symbolism that come before it.

There’s not enough time to drink in the geography during the closing hours. You’ll be too busy zipping along Skyhook rails volleying off RPG rounds at Handyman sentries, as flame troops hurl balls of flaming death at you. You’ll want the game to shift focus back to story-telling

I was worried that it would have too many man shooty elements in. But it's seems despite this, the game still has a lot of focus on the story so it might be worth picking up. I'll wait until it's cheaper though.

Yeah just asked my mate whether this was worth getting as he's in the biz, and he said the PC version is so far in front it's unreal, playing it on PS3 was like having a bootleg copy.

Mind you I'm still scouring ebay for copies of the first game so I'm years off playing Infinite probably!

You could always get Bioshock 2, although I didn't bother because it seemed almost exactly the same as the original. Have you played System Shock 2? It's a creepier, maybe better Bioshock with a greater villain.

I played Bioshock 2 mate. Finished it when it first came out then picked it up for a tenner a few months back.

Like I said, I'll obviously still play this one, I'm just a bit puzzled why they would mess with such a good formula and make it all sunny. System Shock 2 I can't get on a mac I don't think.

Just picked it up along with the season pass for $80 (60 and 20, respectively). They threw in the strategy guide (as big as a text book!) for $2 at Gamestop.
All i want to see is Agger on the team sheet and scoring 6 goals with each one celebrated by punching the reporters in the face with his YNWA tattoo.

Just played for about 4 hours! Magnificent stuff! A little worried about the difficulty curve! Playing it on hard and after upgrading my shield a few times I've only had to regen twice I think! I'm sure they'll be tougher times ahead though!

The opening though! Good lord it's pretty, the bit with the candles and the muisic and the water...like bath night at castle Titi lol

Would love to see this on a top end spec pc, I'd probably start kissing the montir it'd be that good looking!

Much like the original Bioshock it's supposed to send a political message. Considering it's set in the 60's(?) it's accurate I suppose.

This one is set in 1912, so yes, I suppose you're right.

Just a bit odd to hear and see some of these things in a video game.

The gore levels are up there as well.

Would love to play this but won't have time before next week when I'm away for a while.

Did see a few reviews though, one thing I noticed was a review and some acapella group singing "God only knows". Bit of a screw up that isn't it seeing as its supposed to be set in 1912.

the game is stunning, it gave  me a sore head playing on the limited POV, setting my POV out to about 110 fixed that, the mouse was also ridiculously sensitive even at minimum setting, changing that helped big time

it's obvious why you'd want to remove ads for AMD etc

Oh, you mean the intro's at the start advertising vendors? They don't bother me much. But, yeah, I did notice that the mouse is a bit twitchy. How did you manage to get it below the default zero? cfg. file?

i dont get along with this game. I find the 1920s piano annoying. The game is too linear. You just follow a path. The guns are boring. The game play repetitive and predictable. The crows amused me the first the but after that the tonics are just silly. A waste of money for me. Yes it may look nice in a cartoon kind of way, but i find that a tad overbearing. It gets a big yawn from me. As rubbish as Crysis 3 was its better than this. I'd just finished tombraider and FC3 and then this came along. Wish I hadn't bothered. But thats only my opinion and I am sure others will love it but it just annoys me. I keep going back hoping it will get better but it just doesnt do it for me. I guess I am just weird as everyone seems to really rate it. Big thumbs down.  :boxhead

I think the hype is a bit too much really.

I got it Tuesday, played for a couple of hours, then haven't touched it (or the PS3 at all to be fair) since. Whereas I was raring to fuck off work early on Tuesday.

It's a good game and I'll probably finish it this weekend as I have nothing better to do, but yeah, there's no urgency.

This game has quite possibly given me the biggest mindfuck I've ever had. Ridiculous game. It's very good but I don't think it hit the heights of what I was expecting given the reviews. During the middle I was pretty unaware of what was going on but it definitey grows the more its played. The annoying bit was just as I was properly getting into it, it was over. Although the ending sequence is quite special. Will need to replay this to fully grasp it. I feel like I've rushed through and most of the plot, which is kinda complicated, has gone a bit over my head
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now
