dunno how relevant it is to the stadium issue but the club now have a fresh 3 year credit facility agreement in place with RBS.  I'd imagine it doesn't have much to do with the stadium as it's too short for a stadium build, even as a bridging loan.

What amount is this for?

no idea, I'd assume it's a renewal of existing facilities but no details were put in the documents to companies house.

Werner mentioned they'd had to put some money in from NESV reserves to hèlp with cashflow. Might be related to that?

It doesn't state they are, but having stalked this forum since A4E days - I have kept copies of all images and plans. 4 of the 5 are recent to the AFL site and weren't around at the time of the second AFL design.

Club Wembley was more like an airport lounge than a football ground. The layout means you could be miles away from the pitch but only half way up.

Also John Henry was meeting up with Rick Parry the last time he was over, it may be something and nothing.

Tell that to one of the people who ends up sitting in the seats which views only about 50% of the pitch!

Massively over the top, crazily expensive, enormous internal pillars, hopeless as a football ground and designed before the latest issue of the regulations. They start next week.

Do you like the view from the back of the away stand at St James Park? Some of the seats in the Hicks Bowl are further from the pitch than that. It's a fucking stupid design.

The only thing I liked about the Hicks bowl was the concept that the kop was the focal part of the stadium and the design took into account the accoustics of the ground to keep the sound within the stadium.

Wouldn't it though? It's in a different country and they can do things differently. The prices are cheaper and they rely more on commercial deals and TV, so more people can get to the match (and of course they have standing).

If we can stop being fixated by an obscenely expensive brand, new shiny mega stadium, we might just have a chance.

No, I mean the sparkly, sparkly that some fans would only be happy with.

To be fair to council the matter is not quite in their hands. The club can make no application without land owners' permission. And council can't give consent without an application.

And the club can't get the land owners permission without the council's help (or lots and lots of money).

Sort of a vicious circle.
