I use the isyncr app to sync with itunes. Very simple but it works very well.

connect your phone to your pc via usb lead, it will show as a storage device in 'computer'

open this and put your music where you want, the phone will scan for it, that's it

I ordered a pouch for mine yesterday.  I hate putting cases on phones, I like feeling them au naturel.  Prob just me being weird.

What over heating are people getting..mine gets hot every so often, but I just assume it's because i've left something running

Love the phone, having a few issues though unfortunately. The over heating as others have mentioned is a definite worry. It's got really hot at times while I've been using it the more worrying aspect for me however is how hot mine gets while charging, has anyone else experienced this? Mine got so hot the other night it woke me up when I accidentally rolled over on to it.

The second problem I'm having is crashing. It seems to be crashing fairly regularly. This may be linked to the over heating I'm not sure. Seems to crash more often than not when I'm playing a game though there has been a handful of occasions wherein it's crashed while I've been using the market.

The third & thankfully final issue is the battery life. I think I might have just got a bit of a suspect phone because my battery is appalling. I've got friends who also have s2s & most seem relatively pleased with the battery life. Unfortunately for me mine takes the piss! The battery is yet to last for a full day, I don't run gps or wireless unless I need to, I use juice defender & have all my settings set to the most economical setting i.e auto adjusted screen brightness, no vibration, low sound etc has anyone else had this problem or have I just been unlucky & ended up with a bit of a duff model? I charge my phone over night & yet I find I'm having to charge it again by 6/7 in the evening.

One of the problems in over-heating is due to applications which overheat the processor as they are not designed to work well with dual core. I had an app, which was crashing and burning my phone, took me a while to figure out which one it was because it doesn't have to be running to overheat it, but just being installed is enough. But, once I got rid of it, the over-heating problem vanished, I am very careful now when I install a new app. I monitor it for a while after installing. Could be the same issue with you, not sure. Also, my battery life improved after that.

Ghost,
I would seriously consider sending it back as faulty within 12 months of contract start (assuming that's how you got it) as i'm fairly sure most carriers would exchange like for like. ie: withing 30 days another new one after that then a reconditioned one.
I had to do this when on o2 with a faulty handset a few years back. One of the replacements was worse so back that went too but it all got sorted pretty quickly on the whole. Try it mate.

Yeah I think I might do that mate. Only got it maybe 3 days ago so got plenty of time to take it back if I want to. Would be a bit of a pain in the arse but with the battery being the way it is it may be my only option. I've had to charge it twice again today, it's on charge as we speak.

I got this case (in black, though I do this they have other colours) from Amazon and I have to say it's brilliant. It's like a hard rubber. It does make the phone a bit bigger but I don't mind that. A friend has a white hard plastic one and it's a piece of shit and was twice the price. It comes with a free screen protector too. The case fits the phone perfectly.

Just bought this yesterday for my dad, selling his old desire for £100 to put towards this as well.

http://www.affordablemobiles.co.uk/contract-mobile-phones/t-mobile/samsung/galaxy_s_ii/23320930.html?source=webgains&siteid=20363is

Shame he won't use it properly. In the sense that this phone is very good and he'll barely utilize it. Oh well, at least i can have a good play with it.
