I agree.  Newcastle have already ran through this PSG side once and I wouldn't be surprised to see them do it again.

At least Newcastle are going to have to send out their strongest team in both midweeks.  They're not going to do much of anything in the CL this season and it would be great if they're not in it at all next season.

'Fucked' probably makes it sound like they're out of the equation to be fair, not true of course but I think they will finish bottom now, and certainly don't think they advance in the CL.

As Robinred says they're dealing with quite a few injury problems at the moment. Away from home they've been poor in both matches too, and PSG, even though they aren't great themselves, should be the hardest game of the six. In the group stage they're usually very good at home and they need the win themselves quite badly. I see a point at most but think PSG will beat them, at that point they'd go out. I'd still probably fancy them to beat Milan at home but they're more than likely playing for 3rd place then IMO.

Celtic need to sort themselves out, not saying they should be going to venues like last night and winning but they are definitely capable of more than they do, a decent points haul, a shock qualification here and there if the group is ok etc. I mean Rangers put out Dortmund and Leipzig in the Europa the other year.

Could very realistically happen. After Newcastle took 4 points from a challenging first two games I'd not have been surprised to see them win the group. Thought they'd take at least 4 points from Dortmund but that's backfired spectacularly and I do see PSG beating them in Paris, as North Bank says they're a different team at home (in the group stages) - Whatever happens I do think they'll go out of the CL but would tip them for bottom place now, I'd rather Milan or Dortmund drop into the Europa League which is where we're most concerned of course. Milan are better in defence, Dortmund better in attack.

Interesting one for the Scottish teams isn't it. The Champions League isn't their place nowadays but one will go straight into the groups and the other has a great chance of qualifying. They're better off in the Europa League but somehow that represents failure. Even Celtic have been poor in that competition in recent years. They'll go out of Europe entirely now. Rangers can get into the knockouts again. Both could probably 'compete' in the Conference League but could also both just as easily get knocked out by sides of seemingly lesser quality.
