Yes, I know they revel in this FC Hollywood shite and have a long history of tapping up and picking off the best players from any uppity challengers that dare challenge their domestic dominance, but this is getting ridiculous now. They're obsessed, as well as desperate.
Ever since Jurgen gave notice and Tuchel had his arse handed to him twice by Xabi and have now all but given up the title, they've lost the run of themselves in the media. Almost daily tweets from their mouthpieces saying they've "stolen a march" on us, they're the "measure of all things", that they have "backup options if (he) decides to stay with Leverkusen" like it's totally inconceivable he might want to succeed Klopp and that he ever said he "dreamt of managing Liverpool"
At this rate, when Leverkusen are trying to focus on closing out a historic and unprecedented triumph, they'll piss him off so much he may never want to manage there. Do they not realise how counter-productive it is? I know he could also be an arrogant prick at times, but if Beckenbauer hadn't popped his clogs in January, you get the feeling there'd be someone high up with a bit of decorum to at least reign in (if not put a lid on completely) this sort of shite.
