It really is quite shameful the lack of trust and faith shown in Kenny Dalglish.

A transfer budget of 35 million in a summer when you can't offer CL football is not strong backing. It is a decent backing, compared to the times when we were owned by the cowboys.

I think having over 100M to sign 7 players to add to Lucas, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard, Kuyt, Maxi, Johnson, Reina, etc is more than decent. we have done very poorly in the league but at least we have something to hang onto. We will not be able to generate as much to spend next summer at least not enough to fix the mistakes from the last window and the problems we already had.

We'll have to be very clever in the window and it'll be even harder due to the reputation we have created for ourselves

20 years of false dawns, bad decisions, and fine margins have made our support impatient and extremely bitter, is the unfortunate truth. Seems numerous bad decisions over the last 18 months have driven nearly everyone over the edge.

That's it, basically.

I feel we are at a critical point in our future and we need to start moving forward.

I read a depressing article earlier -

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9166045/Liverpools-latest-disappointment-at-home-to-Wigan-highlights-Anfields-blindness-to-modern-failings.html

I'll no doubt get heat for even mentioning it, but reading it is depressing albeit vicious.   We could lose our position in English football forever if we continue to float around in Villa territory.   People on here telling me in should completely abandon my senses because we won a Carling Cup in an ultimately underwhelming fashion is also quite worrying.  Bragging about getting to a semi-final of a domestic cup is also unprecedented times as a fan of LFC.

What trophies?

Carling Cup?

That's already one more than City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal will end up with. And by the end of season possibly two more.

Yeah, let's play victim mentality - us against them.  Us against the world.

Of course many of them are c*nts but plenty just report as is.  Sometimes even honest reporting is dismissed on here as scum just because we don't like it.  But what is there to like about being 7 or 8th?

I'd be worried if we were losing 3 or 4 nil and playing shite but we're losing by the odd goal or drawing so it's not exactly a crisis. We're not battling against relegation ffs I dread to think what the suicide rate would be amongst our support if that was the case. You don't become a bad player over night so these signings could surprise us and come good once they've had a season together.

If we win the FA Cup then this cup chat gets alot more convincing.  Right now, it's nice but oversold.  One more time - we're not Portsmouth.

What 100 million? We have added new value of 35 million. Some of the new players, like Carroll, Henderson and Coates, are still pretty young, so we don't know how good they will turn out to be. Suarez and Enrique have already proved to be good signings. Downing has shown signs of improvement, and Adam is a decent squad player for 7 million. You don't get more improvement than that for 35 million.

Keep the faith lad. Nothing worthwhile and lasting comes easy.

Even if you think he is, I assure you Kenny Dalglish is no fool. We have lost a lot of momentum from the first half of the season when there was an awful lot right but give it time, we are making long term decisions and being judged on short term goals.

Kenny needs a least another season to sort out any issues he has encountered throughout the season. We've come so close to winning so many games, so it's not as bad as it looks to be honest.

God, I nearly choked on my dinner!

You support Liverpool through and through, and yet for the first time ever it is not considered acceptable to give a manager more than one season to sort things out - and please don't come out with the 'well we got rid of Hodgson' tripe.

Being frustrated because performances aren't up to par is one thing, calling for the Manager's head is another.

I ddint once call for his sacking, just for him to get more ruthless.

But please pull the other one with this "bedding in" shite.   Why has it become so hard to "bed in" all of a sudden?  Try think for yourself instead of listening to what others are telling you.  New players have been bought for every team in the country, many of which are playing to their expected level whereas most of LFC's signings aren't.  Wasn't that the point of buying players from England already?  LOL.  Newcastle brought in randomers and they're flourishing whilst our safe bets are bedding in.

But yeah, im the stupid fan that you can't believe exists.

Remind me of the finishes Shankly and Ferguson have had in their careers. For fuck sake.
