Liverpool goalkeeper Chris Kirkland has been discharged from hospital after falling and banging his head at Melwood earlier today. Kirkland was taken to hospital as a precaution but, after being checked by medical staff, he was given the all-clear. A Liverpool spokesman said tonight: "Chris slipped earlier today at the training ground and banged his head. "As a precaution he has been for a check up at the hospital but has been given the all clear and has now returned home."
