They've got direct quotes from Klopp and it would seem pretty strange to make it up, it's hardly a major story for a national newspaper. It would also be pretty strange if all of a sudden the players all decided to stop touching it for no reason.

...and then suggests that it should be for players who have won something. So no "ban" but clearly a strong suggestion.

Just on what I've seen from the tunnel cam videos. Haven't seen anything changing internally (around the entrance to the pitch) since the stand first opened.

That's why those temporary walls are there though, to hide away the work going on behind, so you won't see any of the changes until they connect the completed work to the entrance to the tunnel area.

Haha. Well, that coupled with a complete lack of photos of the progression. Usually the official site or someone would have posted pictures but there is nothing.

I imagine there isn't too much to show, as it's all going to be fairly small rooms, corridors, etc. down there, compared to the big large spaces (terraces, suites, concourse) we saw loads of photos of previously. Only the changing rooms of much interest, and doubt they'll show them until 100% completed.

Don't see any reason why it won't be January, for the moment anyway.

Don't think you'll get any indication until the end of year finances are released. Look out for Swiss Ramble's (I think it's him) breakdown of the finances when that happens.

But you can see they have been working on it and the corridor has changed..... there is now a doorway in front of the tunnel enterence and you can also turn right now as you come from the pitch through the tunnel..... so they're still working on it

Fuck me, talk about jumping the gun! We haven't even had a full season with the new stand yet, no need to get your knickers in a twist just yet mate!

While I don't think it's at all likely, I genuinely couldn't give a shit if Everton end up with a lovely new stadium. Defining ourselves by others is exactly how you end up with the mentality that the bitters have.

John Henry's comments on extending Annie Rd were an unnecessary dig at the ticket protest/a test of the waters to see if people prefer a new stand or lower ticker prices. I didn't like the timing of the comments, but they're just hot air. Let's give things a chance to pan out before jumping to conclusions.

Personally speaking, I don't want to rush to do up the Annie Road, nor was it ever part of the plans that we'd immediately be doing it either. I'd much rather wait to see how we do with season tickets/demand for tickets/ticket prices/attendances before rushing to spend a load of money. I'd prefer we make informed decisions - more haste/less speed type thing.

My biggest concern is making the capacity too large to always fill. I don't want any Liverpool game at Anfield to ever not be at capacity - it affects the atmosphere in every stand. I'm also very wary of changing the demographics of the crowd so dramatically again, before we've seen what changes come with the Main Stand. I don't want Anfield to feel anything like the Emirates. And I'm keen we don't lose the character/atmosphere/behaviours that have developed over the last few decades to suddenly be diluted for the sake of keeping up with the Jones's (whose house, garden, family, team, shed are all shitter than ours already, and unlikely to change)

Ideally, I'd like us to do up the Annie Road. But only if it makes sense.

Who cares? Not like they'll fill it. They could build the Maracana on the banks of the Mersey for all I care. They can't fill Goodison Park. New ground with higher prices, yeah they'll flock to that to watch the Dutch Joe Royle and his shit on a stick team.

it would also be fucking embarrassing if Everton had loads of empty seats and/or had to cut ticket prices ridiculously to sell it out that they struggle to pay back the debt.

Besides, they'd be smart to see if safe standing is allowed as that solves the problem of more people in the ground, cheaper tickets and far lower cost compared to adding another tier to the anny road end, plus can be done much faster as opposed to the white elephant on the docks
