I've noticed with City that if they aren't winning after the first few minutes (they usually always are) it tends to be a close game and they'll tend to dog out a 1-0 like the run in last season, or drop points.

Of course usually they score early and are on easy street the rest of the game. Although last season I think all their defeats came after they'd scored early.

They were properly shit today. That wasn't a flukey result.

Their performance was really encouraging, as much as the result. They ran out of ideas and didn't really create many good chances.
All those muppets who keep saying City are a better team than us are starting to look a bit foolish.

I didn't watch. In fact, I didn't even realise they were playing today. Anyway, Abu Dhabi were blistering for a season or two and although the club itself is a cheating abomination, the team were rightly praised. Thing is though, they were at their absolute peak. That was the absolute maximum of their game. Liverpool were only just getting going. Even last season we hit 97 points but often played within ourselves. It was clear we were not at 100% of our capabilities and often had a couple of gears more to hit when we really hit form.

I think other teams are now realising that Abu Dhabi can be got at and if they show some balls they might get something. Even at their absolute peak, a still building Liverpool were only pipped to the title by them by a point. They are good, but they are being found out as not exactly the invincibles we were all led to believe they were.

I don't think anyone should be banned for saying something dumb off the field, a fine will always do, anything else is just virtue-signalling. Say something dumb on the field = three games for straight red on the first offence. That's definitely enough. Just banning people for having bad opinions won't root bad opinions out.

That being said, an epic loss for them today. Hopefully they implode completely now. For us, one game at a time though. Each game starts at 0-0.

Disagree. I would say he is pointing out, as Barnes did, that it was meant as a joke with no racism intended. Look back at what I've posted about Silva's age, the year the original advert was made, what the advert looked like when Silva was a kid and you will see where my thoughts come from in this.

There is no place in life for racism and in this day and age, sharing it on social media isn't very bright.
