The game shows why Moreno is not good enough for us. Hope we sell on at the end of the season.

Isn't there some weird rule regarding off side when behind the goalkeeper? Would Sturridge have been off if Moreno passed to him?

No weird rule - there has to be two players between the player and the goal unless the player was behind the ball when it's passed. It's just more likely that one of the two is the goalkeeper.

That was a fucking stupid last 20 minutes. Some of the shit we do when we are leading is unreal. I don't think I've ever been more angry in victory. We're fucking clueless at times.

If that was your immediate thought straight after the whistle blew you really need to fuck football right off because you don't get it.
They have life in them, they have humour, they're arrogant, they're cocky and they're proud. And that's what I want my team to be.

Where's Emres thread?

When he's struggling people are screaming he's not good enough, now he's playing well he doesn't get mentioned much at all

Brilliant again today

He was fantastic today absolutely everywhere made up for the lad.

Mignolet, Matip and Firmino carried us through that imo

Phew. That last minute Milner tackle, love it.

Can't be bothered to criticise Moreno, we all know he's gone next season.

Don't really know what our gameplan was in the last 20 minutes, left the 3 very high up the pitch, but couldn't get the ball near them without launching it, which is what West Brom want. Especially having replaced Sturridge with Origi, he's never going to win an aerial duel against one of them.

it is in Liverpool's hands once more...

Fourth has always been in our hands because despite the fact that Man City and Man Utd have games in hand over us, they play each other. Both cannot won the same game and a draw in that game (or any city draw and a Liverpool win on the corresponding round of fixtures) will put 3rd in our hands

Emre and Lucas did really well, as did the most of the team.  Saw the game out well and resisted the yard-dog tactics.

Commentator said Pulis needs bigger player so in the summer.  What, even taller yard-dogs!!!

Didn't mind the ref to be honest, have seen MUCH worse.

Yes same here. There is a bigger a bigger debate to be had about refereeing isn't there? The tolerance for grappling. And the automatic assumption that the player that ends up sprawled on the floor must have been fouled (there was that one in first half when Can shrugged off Brunt or Evans - his sheer strength keeping him upright - and the ref gives a foul) and then the one against Origi in the 2nd half - he would have been through on goal. And then the yellow for Lucas - you know the referees reasoning - he's booked 2 of theirs so the next foul by a Liverpool paler is getting yellow too.

Ahhg - great win - though :D (sorry about the rant - hate the way this beautiful game can be ruined - and you can't blame Pulis because he knows how it will go with the refs)

Yes yes yes there'd be time to dissect our defense frailties but just enjoy the win goddamit.

Oh, I'll enjoy it alright. Just slightly seething about how clownish we look when trying to defend a slender lead.

Anyway. Migs was fantastic at the end. Can and Origi were great too. Lucas and Firmino with honourable mentions. Massive 3 points no doubt and it doesn't really matter how you win them at this point in the season, but fuck me, we're not winning the league defending like that.
I think the same, can't stand him, but if you could have a £1million pound cheque or steve bruces head hollowed out and filled with pound coins which would you have?

He is indeed, the lad has a big set of balls and is always up for a fight. Against shithouse teams he's very much needed, great to see him doing well and let's hope we sort out his new deal soon.

Too right.

And thats one of my favourite things about him as a player, he's brave, he never hides, even when things where not going so well for him earlier in the season, he'll always show up and be in the thick of it. He's a big character in this team.

Have to admit as well, being stupidly outspoken on Can and Lucas, they've made me look quite the April fool recently. Immense again today.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

It was bad play.. you can't dress it up any other way.

It was. Bad play, bad decision. But I can understand why he would make that decision. Maybe frustrated with lack of opportunities, wants to play, make a big impact, only gets a few minutes here and there. He's just not good enough to get those opportunities though. He's basically brainless footballing-wise. He'll move on in the summer

Goal difference could be crucial for 3rd and seeing Moreno miss that is funny but also could be costly.

I don't think it will, we're doing very well at the moment and I can see our unbeaten run going to the end of the season.

Get in! The irony of it all. Only go and win the fucking game thanks to a set piece!

Simon Mignolet. A beat these past two weeks.

Bob, Joel and Jimmy were brilliant today.

We really can dig in and get an ugly result. Brilliant!
