Mignolet deserves a ton of credit for the past two matches.

Yeah, it's not like they're going to win anything. If I was a West Brom fan I'd rather see attractive football and finish 17th than dogshit football and finish 12th. Or try some decent football for the first half of the season and then turn defensive second half if that goes tits-up. But I guess you need to drill in tactics early on and you need certain players to do the latter that might not be capable of decent football

I can kind of understand grounding results out at the start but to set up that negative at home when you're absolutely safe is baffling. Throw the shackles off and have a go.

Not today, but thats exactly the type of "game closure" thats cost us about 10 pints this season. We got lucky today. The lame clearing headers straight to the oppo on the edge of the box. The ping-pong on the edge of the box. Own players crashing into each other. It's our biggest weakness and must be priority #1 to improve in the summer.

Yes yes yes there'd be time to dissect our defense frailties but just enjoy the win goddamit.

Fuck off Pulis. I can't believe the football I am seeing in this day and age like football had a lost few generations since 1960. If he could, he would have Niall Quinn coming out of retirement to play for him. I am also glad that Rory Delap is no longer playing or he by himself would have had 90% possession.

Moreno is likely to leave this summer and he will be remembered for the wrong reasons.

Pulis and his gang of hoofball twats beaten by the mighty reds goal from a set piece. Lovely.

Firmino was class today. He got stuck into them and seemed to be loving it.

Moreno doesn't get many chances. He gets a rare two minutes on the pitch and wants to score or impress or enjoy himself. So I can sort of understand him shooting from his perspective. But he should really move on in the summer; it's in everyone's interests and all us fans would wish him well!

Isn't there some weird rule regarding off side when behind the goalkeeper? Would Sturridge have been off if Moreno passed to him?

Nothing weird about it really, the offside rule is about two defending players, of course usually the other one is a goalkeeper.

GET. THE. FUCK. IN!!!

A bit less comfortable than we would have wanted in the end, but a very important result in what was arguably our toughest remaining fixture, at least on paper.

What's our record with Matip and Lovren together at the back now?

Those two being injured too much without quality back up has really cost us.

I know West Brom are in a very good position but imagine forking good money out to watch that shite every week?

I know I cannot credit it, or understand why Pulis gets so much credit for playing mind numbing football. They were a bunch of thugs in the first half. So satisfying beating the set pieces "experts" by a set piece.

Sturridge would have definitely been offside. The only stupidity in that act was him asking for the ball.

Firmino and Can were the other side and onside.

Anyway, great performance. One I didn't think we were capable of. Brilliant.

Massive fuckiing win.

Really proud of that performance, effort and the shit we put up with, some of the ref's decisions were puzzliing.

Man of the match is surely Simon, for that imperious save after a miscue from the lads at the back. He also dealt with the pushing, shoving and the crosses in his box. He has been tremendous as of late.

Moreno, I swear, I never wanted to strangle a player more than him after that, I was just praying we didn't concede afterwards. Brainless, absolutley brainless.

Great effort, great performances considering the difficulty and the stage of the season.

Can, Gini, Lucas, Matip all immense today.

Bobby too, worked really hard.

Origi had a tough job, worked hard, got into the game more when he has space.

Great save by Migs, but we should be killing that game earlier, didnt make enough of good positions. Still well done lads.
