With so much franchise cricket, you rarely see players go and play in the Sheffield Shield, or in SA/sub-continent to hone their skills for a period anymore either.

We've never really had players in the Sheffield Shield though. The Aussies aren't as accommodating to us as we are to them with the County Championship.

I could almost, almost tolerate it if it was a short burst and they moved on to something else. But it’s just sung endlessly. The last time they sung it it must have been going on for about half an hour.

Dunno, its a cliche but you've got to wait and see what the reply is right? They're middle order was just as porous as ours at Lords and they've changed a lot of people.

Think they said 307 is the average score batting first at Edgbaston.

Like Welsh said it all depends on how we bowl and we could have conditions like today which gives the bowlers a sniff.

Pundits always say 400 but I agree with Holding that T20 has messed test batting up abit in terms of staying in most batters like to score quickly now which is why I found it odd the stick Sibley took not long ago we were 30-3 on a test by test basis !

Go for it, get us above 300 and I reckon that's decent for these bowlers to go at, NZ would need an incredible innings to take that game past us in one innings.
