Seen much worse stoppages but the ref needed to let that go another couple seconds. Don't think TJ was getting out of that situation all the same.

The ref decides to stop it when TJ gets dropped for a third (?) time. It looks bad because he's gotten himself somewhat upright at that point, but it's a decent stoppage.

He would have just gotten smashed further, which would have been fun anyway. Win/win.

At least the ref made the decision and didn't fanny about jumping in and then backing out once he questions himself. It was early but justified.

Tj just didn't seem ready for the fight to turn up that quick, good job on Cejudo. I don't think it goes the same way at 135 though.

Fast forward 1.5 decades later and my little lad has now been born and we are heading out to America next month to compete at the kids version!

I also wish BJ would retire!

Agree on Adesanya, but I'm a stan for him, however I think Gastelum takes it in the main. Just think Whittaker has been through the ringer a bit with both Romero fights and all the health issues that followed.
