If you're in the North West, worth getting out and voting just to make sure Tommy Robinson doesn't get elected.

Mmm, I was hoping for terrible weather to see that off. Would probably work for BXP as well, tbf.

Think I'm going Green today.

Went with Lib Dems in the north east as remainvoter.com suggested, the coalition smudge on them is irrelevant for this vote really.

Went with Lib Dems, was between them and Change UK, but the complete lack of any campaigning round by me and the fact that they didn't even have their bloody logo on the ballot paper when I got in there meant I think Lib Dems are more likely to get a third seat in the South East than Change are to get one.

Just voted. On the way to the polling station I bumped into three different friends, all stopped for a chat about which way to vote. Having to choose tactically is a bit of a pain but perhaps its a good thing that it's getting people talking, and at least in my own little bubble the remain vote seems energised.

Turnout is going to be absolutely key. Please make the effort to vote. Send a message to Frottage that we are not buying his bullshit.

My great uncle went to vote, EU national, lived here since the 60s, had his polling card through and told he was eligible vote. Turned away and told he can’t vote... :no

There is a lot of this going on today. It's all to do with an extra required form declaring that the EU national promises not to vote twice. Councils are supposed to send it out, but a lot haven't. Or they send it over email, and the email gets lost in junk folders. There has been no genuine effort to inform EU voters. It could also have been very easily solved by just having the forms available at the polling stations, other countries do this. It's effectively a deliberate choice to suppress votes.

I should also add that some people have had last minute approval granted by their councils after being turned away at the polling station, so if this happens to you then contact your council and don't take no for an answer.

Makes a fucking mockery of democracy, deliberately hindering people’s votes. Sounds like something that would happen in the US.

Who would be the best people to contact for this at the council?

If you're in the North West, worth getting out and voting just to make sure Tommy Robinson doesn't get elected.

to be honest, voting for him will just be taking votes off the Brexit Party 99.9% of the time. Although I wouldn’t want that fascist little thug being in anyway endorsed.

I'm not sure to be honest, my best guess would be to phone main reception, explain the situation, and ask them to connect you to someone who can help.

Also, take a look at the #deniedmyvote tag on twitter to see how other people have managed it; https://twitter.com/search?q=%23DeniedMyVote&src=trend_click&pt=1131458153659416576

My partner (who is Polish) got the form from the council and returned it on the 6th, but the deadline was the 7th and we never got confirmation of whether they accepted the form, and no polling card arrived. She emailed yesterday and a woman at the council immediately confirmed that she was registered to vote.

Definitely worth contacting the council if you are in this situation. Obviously call don't email today!

My polling station is in the back room of a pub.  Will have a pint or 2 later whilst I weigh up whether to vote Lib Dem or Green.  I hope I don’t find it too hard to make up my mind, wouldn’t want to be sat there after a 2nd 3rd 4th pint still not having made a decision.  ;)

Seeing some differing advice on how to vote tactically up here in Scotland. Am torn between voting SNP, Lib Dem or Greens.

All say different. Maybe smartest move is Dems but still not sure. Will head out shortly and just plump for one I suppose.

Think I'll be doing the same, been debating this with everyone I know over the last week (all traditionally Labour voters) and we're all coming to the Green conclusion (most of us in the NW).

I'm sure you could find plenty of things Labour have done that if they hadn't we wouldn't be in this situation.

It doesn't matter, it's in the past. Right now Brexit is the most important thing and in many regions the Lib Dems are the best option to stop it.

I find it all a bit shit really the fact there is a few remain parties and one stand out brexit party, meaning peoples votes will be getting split between the three won't they? Kind of like adding no deal and a brexit deal on a ballot along with remain.

Was going to vote for the party in the North west that has the best chance of beating the scum, but it's just a pot shot in-between Lib dems and Greens right?

Fair point but as I said I hold the Lib Dems complicit in getting to the stage of an EU referendum.

Anyway, just voted

Plaid - No Way
Lib Dumbs - No Way
Labour - Nearly
Change - Yep I voted for them!
