Quote
Bolton red card: It's another early sending off for Bolton but this is very harsh. Gary Cahill takes an unwise touch on the halfway line and is robbed by the dogged Scott Parker. Cahill trips his England team-mate but Parker is tight to the touchline, 50 yards from goal and with several covering defenders in the middle. Referee Stuart Attwell shows a straight red card though when a yellow would have done.

Every decision like this just makes the non-sending off in our first game against Sunderland even more bizarre

This is going to be another one of those amazing weekends, isn't it?
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

Don't see what's funny about it.

They look pretty good at the moment, and they beat us at Anfield and beat us 4-0. Certainly better than Chelsea.

Somehow my strategy to ruin all of our opponents' day has failed.

I craftily decided to jinx them by bringing Bale into my fantasy team to play with Adebayor, and sold Gary Cahill.  Thus ensuring, so I thought, a clean sheet for Cahill and Bolton and a horrible game from Bale.

And yet somehow the universe, in a remorseless display of vindictiveness towards my plans, has contrived to allow Bale to score and Cahill to be sent off.   :duh

On the plus side, well, there isn't any.

As has been said, did you expect Bolton and Wigan to beat Spurs and Arsenal? Other teams don't owe us anything, the competition is really tough this year and if we don't get 4th its entirely our fault. We've gotta start beating the teams that Spurs and the like seem to stroll past. If we're not doing that then getting all upset over the teams above us winning is pointless.

Yes, but getting annoyed cos others aren't dropping points in games they were, very unlikely, to drop points in is madness. If it happens it's a bonus but ...

If we keep relying on other teams to lose then we won't come 4th. So we're better off not really worrying about it and instead just hope we win all our matches.

Spurs and Arsenal should be winning matches like these anyway.

Because we're going to win all of our games from now 'til the end of the season aren't we?

Who said we would ? But thinking about where we going to finish based on the likes of Spurs and Arsenal not dropping points to teams in the bottom 3 is daft.

See BEATS's post - if you were hoping Bolton and Wigan were going to help Liverpool today then there is no hope for you. If it was next week or the week after (when Arsenal, for example, have Everton and then City away) then that is a different matter entirely.
