Why on earth in Gakpo starting??

He played the full game on Thursday too while Salah and Nunez had some rest and yet they are benched

Coz Gakpo has been semi decent and Nunez and Salah have been crap.

They need a wake up call and this might help.

I’ve gone 5-0 Liverpool, Diaz to score first. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. 230-1.
94 Corner to us. Last kick. Ali in the box and he’s scored

Hopefully we see Diaz on the right.
Gakpo left, Jota centre, Diaz right. Is the way to go.

Knowing Klopp, it'd probably be Diaz left, Gakpo centre, Jota right. But they will switch positions during the game though.

An angry Salah bagging 10 minute hat tricks off the bench is quite the option to have.

Front 3 actually makes a lot of sense. Midfield is never the same without Macca but I'm fairly certain he's appreciating the rest. It's a free hit this one, and Fulham have fuck all to play for. Tie them in knots and use the fresh legs to their full potential, we've got this.

Have you watched our games lately mate? It's quite obvious why he is starting.

I'm happy enough with the team, it feels like we've needed a change in recent performances, and we've got the firepower on the bench who will hopefully come on with a point to prove.

Up the reds.

Gotta respect the big balls on Klopp. A lot of managers would be too scared to drop a player of Salah's calibre, regardless of how out of form they are.

I don't think it's about dropping anyone this week. You can't start the same players 4 away games in 9 days. Mac isn't dropped for example. We have to manage the workload and the derby will be physically and mentally draining.

That is a very weird lineup considering we're out of every other competition. Guessing Klopp thinks Everton will be the harder game, but Fulham are no mugs, especially at home.

We have three games in a week, therefore he will make changes especially with the players who are looking tired such as Macca.

Weird lineup but the supposed best lineup hasn’t worked. Keep the game close and we have great options off the bench I guess.

I’ll take a spawny 1-0 win.

Mind me asking where you were sat in the ground for the Palace game? Was my first time in the Upper Main and my first game for a little while and while I thought the atmosphere was a bit nervy, the crowd was certainly behind the team.

Fine with the starting team.
Salah does not deserve to be in the starting team until he starts showing a lot more.
And neither do Darwin or Szobo.

It’s pretty simple.

Hopefully while they’re sitting on the bench it lights a fire under their arse if they do come on.

No idea which way the game will go. Fulham always give us a hard game and I expect nothing different this time. If we win it will be by 1 goal. I’m not expecting much to be honest.

Looking forward to seeing how we go and we have plenty of guns on the bench if required

I like this team selection. Ballsy. A bit surprised by Grav getting the nod, but maybe he's shown something in training.  Everyone dropped from the team deserved to be except Mac, who needs rest. Super strong bench if they have the right attitude, and I'm sure they will.

I don’t think there’s any overthinking going on with this line up. As much as I rate Nunez and Salah they have been very poor. That means you lose your place until you get your chance again

This is the answer. Both of those have wasted so many chances and we can't afford to carry them right now.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

I think shaking the team up is good in principle - Mac needs a rest, Konate needs his minutes managed and Salah and Nunez are way out of form. But still, I can't help thinking that midfield isn't great as a three.

Bench is great though, so 0-0 on 60 would be OK.

Not one player in our squad has been awful this season, some have gone in and out of form (normal shit) but a cup in the bag and fighting for the prem clearly shows that.

We needed some changes though it looks like we will rely on Trent amd Harvey to create in the absence of Macca.

First task is to stay in the game and not gift an early goal. We do that and we will create chances to win the game.
