I think it’s mad to demand top 4 when we are bringing in a new coach with different methods and expect everyone to hit the ground running straight away. It’s a lack of patience and understanding in just how hard it can be to get your ideas across to a group of players in a short space of time. If he doesn’t get top 4 are we going to sack him?

There are loads of variables that can affect a league position, and as long as I can see a pattern and style of play emerging and largely positive results, then that will do me in season one. The first season is always about building a base for the longer term, and getting the learning period out of the way first season will lead to positive results in the future.

Patience is absolutely needed by the fan base and sticking high pressured expactions on the manager in the first season while he adapts to a new league and gets his message over to the squad makes zero sense.

We have at least the third best squad in the league. How much will we need to drop off?

Sorry but anything outside the top four wouldn't be acceptable. I can accept being further off the top 2 teams in Arsenal and City, but to drop to 5th or 6th? With our squad, no way.

Keeper catches the ball, has hold of it, ref waves play on after he gets up, keeper lobs the ball on the floor meaning it's fair game to then play, Gakpo runs to it to score, ref blows the whiste to stop him.

That's literally it. All this conjecture 'he did this, he did that' that's literally it.

So it's either he didn't want us to score, or he's saving the keeper from a collosal mistake (ala Gabriel in the CL). Personally I think it's both. There is literally no reason for him to blow the whistle. He waved play on, once the keeper lobs it on the floor, that's it, play on, anyone can touch it. But no, blows so the keeper is saved from a mistake.

It's bizarre. And corrupt.

It's brilliant, I'd much rather see a Bradley emerge than us sign someone.

Yep could add Danns, Chambers, Clark and more to that list.

Only if you are prepared to have transitional seasons whilst you find out how good they are and whether they can cut it. Quansah is a perfect example. He has done absolutely brilliantly considering his age and lack of experience. Unfortunately, he has cost us in a number of games because kids will inevitably make mistakes early in their careers.

Look at Foden at City and how long it took him to come through. Or look at Cole Palmer and how he had to drop down a level to blossom. Expecting to throw in a load of kids at the same time whilst expecting to be almost guaranteed top 4 is hugely unrealistic.

These are the last days of Klopp. Never had more fun under a manager, since the 80's.

Get your heads together and give him the vibe he deserves in his last games. Results are unimportant anymore, just have fun ffs.

Completely how I feel. And I’m now completely over the end of season disappointments. It’s just been so great under him, we won a shiny pot and should finish 3rd barring something crazy happening. He’s been our ultimate “trophy” for uniting, rebuilding and upgrading the club, and winning everything. Modern era Bill Shankly that we badly needed and which our successor will benefit from. He was the the ultimate man at the right time. And he then did a massive chunk of a rebuild.

Going to enjoy celebrating the great man and a good season. I’ve said it a million times, but thank you thank you thank you Jurgen. You will be forever loved.

The manager said he wishes everyone in the team had what Romero has in him.

Some daft fucker on twitter simmed a season on football manager where he gave everyone in the spurs team the same mental attributes as Cristian Romero. There was red cards galore and they finished 8th. :D

I don't think I'm that far in yet, I was on the way to the 4th temple when the guide I'm using let me know that I need to backtrack through the entire game now to collect a bunch of items I never would have expected to exist. I ended up backtracking so now I'm slowly working through that before continuing. I'll probably do what I normally do with these games, collect enough stuff to be overpowered but ignore the ridiculous end bosses like weapons and aeons.

Old school FF games were still the peak in my opinion, though I think games still haven't found a happy medium when it comes to rewarding exploration versus hand-holding.

yeah there's a lot of things that you'd never even consider without some sort of guide like how to get the 'best' weapons etc for them all. though bollocks to trying to dodge 200 lightning bolts in a row, I think I managed about 3.

Whole team has been basically scapegoated not just Salah.

That's not true. For an unknown reason, people go extra hard on him (our fanbase and outsiders). Actually, some can't wait for him to do something they perceive as wrong so they can have a go at him. I'm alluding to anything, but there's a pattern.
