We have a manager who does not know how to coach a defense.
This is his 3rd year - same questions every week...
Just look at the 3 defenders ball-watching for their 2nd goal.

2-2 against Arsenal in a middle of very difficult season and I'm disappointed. Lots of positives but...

About defending... You can point and blame individual errors. Skertel first, what was point of Gerrard in the second but our defensive woes are systematic so reasons are much deeper.

I'm all for that attack over defence thinking but when we are not firing in all cylinder we have to defend better. When we need several attempts to score we have to defend better. Poor offence and poor defence is combination for disaster. How is it so hard to crasp that!?

Can't blame Borini myself. Two stupid yellows but this being his first match since ages he was too fired up.

Conceding that goal at the end of the first half just completely took the life out of things.
Considering how things went from there, getting a point out of that - unfortunately - feels like an accomplishment.

Certainly better than how it seemed it would be for pretty much the entirety of the second half.
Especially after Borini was sent off...

Played well for 44 minutes and inevitably shot ourselves in the foot for the rest of the game. Arsenal were absolutely appalling and we still could not win.

It would be hard for anyone to convince me that the referee was not a bloody cheat. There's no way that was a red card if he didn't send Flamini off. And there were several other decisions that mysteriously went Arsenal's way. The officiating in the PL is a joke.

Although we've dropped points to both United and Arsenal, much improved performances over the last week or so. Stick Sturridge (or a similar striker) at the head of that and we could easily have had 6 points though.

To be fair, a lot of positives to take from this performance. Skrtel showing why he'd probably be better off being used as a forward than a defender. Borini was stupid, I love his passion, his commitment, but you can't be doing shit like that.
