We've been over this before. It's Tayto Cheese and Onion. Anyone who says it's not, has never eaten Tayto Cheese and Onion.

Tayto Cheese and Onion.

Close the thread, shut the servers down and last one out switch the lights off, because this thread is now over.

See. He's tasted them.

You got there before I did.  No one outside of Ireland can really appreciate how good these crisps are.  Tayto Cheese and Onion are the greatest crisps ever.

Keep Crisps Tayto

so has she.

Northern Tayto - Best for crisp sandwiches
Southern Tayto - Best on their own

And he's a real conniseur.

Voni,

There is no point in having a crisp sandwich if you don't follow the basics.

1.  White sliced pan only, MUST be fresh.
2.  Cheese and onion only. If you use a different flavour you WILL be disappointed.
3.  King crisps or, failing that, Tayto.
4.  Real butter, 2-4 degrees below room temperature.

If you deviate from these guidelines, neither I nor RAWK will be liable for the consequences...

and he's nearly right, but, being from Keaneland, doesn't have the benefit of northern tayto C&O to take heed of Harry's first point.

Yeah but after a while all these exotic crisp begin to lose their appeal, they are sort of that 'Dangerous stranger' who is a bit loud and a bit of craic to start with, then you get fucking tired of them and just want the norm back.

Yep, you're right there.

I'll eat this kind and that kind for a while, but will ALWAYS return to tayto C&O, and Bacon Fives.

That's what I fear.  I don't like butter or any buttery/ Margariney products.  I should just probably leave it.  If I'm honest don't see the point in crisps sarnies.  If feel the same way about chip butties - why ruin a perfectly good chip??

I know my comments are contraversial.  Feel from to cast me out into the darkness of a non-rawk world.

Don't listen to corkboy, the perfect crisp sarnie is in the eye of the beholder.

My crisp sarnies never have butter/marge, and my fave is probably salt and vinegar. And i don't crush the crisps.

I'ma  rebel ;)

Yes don't bother, the butter really gels the lot together.

Plus chips are nothing but filler without something complimenting them, they are like the bad song on an album which only induces good feeling when it attaches itself to a memory of something (usually whilst pissed and having a good time i.e Nostalgia).

Most wanky crisps are Wotsits, a big bag of messy orange crap that leaves your teeth with orange gook fillings and when you smile it looks like you've been eating a ginger badger.

I don't like Watsits anymore after they made me ill.  Watsits on the way down are nice... Watsits on the way back up again are not.  I can put up with the sicky bile taste in my mouth after normal chundering but never again do I want the sicky bile watsitsy taste.

Going back to the whole crisps sandwich episode - I will try it over the weekend and let you know my findings on Monday for those who care.  I feel it'll be a dear diary moment entitled "My First Crisp Sandwich".
