Professional in the sense he keeps himself in awesome condition, he trains well, he is good at what he does...

But he definetly isn't a model pro in the mould of Nedved or Maldini were, he sets an awful example, no sportsmanship, constant simulation, lack of respect for opposition, arrogant, bad for morale in the sense he flaps his arms when people misplace passes or don't opt to give the ball to him (just like Gerrard does), et al - definetly more than one negative, but yes a great player no doubt.

But honestly I don't see messi as a "saint".  I have seen his headbutt against shaktar and his infamous handball goal. However, these things are very rare with him whereas this c*nt dives and whines on a regular basis. Trying to get people sent off and constantly fishing for penalties and free kicks really annoys me.  Did you watch the clip I posted earlier? Do you honestly think that this baby would have attempted to stay on his feet in a similar situation? Forget the diving or that he plays for Real Madrid and played for Utd, I just dislike his general demeanor.  The little poses he strikes  (whoever came up with the 'prancing pony' nickname is a genius) when he doesn't get a shot on target from 35 yards and shakes his head in disbelief as if saying 'Why me God! what have i done to deserve this!', the flailing arms to the ref when he dives and the ref doesn't bite, the bollockings to this team-mates when they don't pass him a ball when he was unmarked, not celebrating a team-mates goal off a goalkeeper's penalty save because he missed the penalty, etc, etc.  He just comes across as an egomanaical arrogant gobshite and for a lot of people that's a big turnoff.   

And it's a shame because he is amazing as a footballer, physically incredibly gifted and without a doubt has put a ton of work into becoming the second best player in the world.
