The jokes about Stevie G slipping last year have been sickening - every fan revelling in that song - now my facebook is a plethora of jokes about his sending off so fast. I'm so bloody sick of it - Id kill to see him score the winner in the fa cup final

I genuinely thought it wasn't obvious that it was or wasn't deliberate added to the fact that Jones nudges/shoves him from the original path Skrtel was taking. Also think it was very similar to the "stamp" by Costa in so much that it was at speed and could be argued (and was by his club/fans) that his momentum carried him into Skrtel and was almost unavoidable. I'm obviously missing something obvious like the look on his face afterwards of whatever it was that has everyone else convinced it was intentional.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

Very costly day at the office in many ways. Massive dent to top 4 hopes, 3 match bans for Gerrard and Skrtel, and injuries to Lallana, and Sturridge. And now Mignolet having a scan on ankle.

We did switch to the diamond midfield around the 30 minute mark (I can't remember precisely when but it was that sort of stage) so he wasn't doing nothing to change it. The difference between that and the Swansea game though was that we didn't push our wing backs up to play basically as wingers/wide forwards, which is what we did against Swansea to try and push them back. We probably didn't want to do that yesterday considering that would have left more space wide of our back three, spaces they had been exploiting.

I wonder if the "Rodgers isn't experienced enough, if he was he would have changed it earlier like Jose" crowd will bother responding to this?

He had the look of a Liverpool player and, as the media and pundits had had their say, the rest was just process. Sounding like a Chelsea fan there but they seem to be quiet when players other than their own get similiar (or worse) treatment by the FA.

There is a fine line between a three match ban and being overlooked it appears, the pundits push you over the line.

Damn. If Sturridge and Mignolet miss games, it's well and truly over. Might go badly enough that we miss Europa League, at least...  :-\

If you had told me to picture a worst case scenario before the match, I probably wouldn't even have thought the above mentioned.

Absolute disaster. As if our top 4 hopes aren't hanging on by a thread, we'll now lose our best defender for 3 matches starting with Arsenal away. It couldn't have been a worse day at the office, fucking shambles.

I think Brendan himself has diagnosed Dan with fucuhodgsonubolloxedourseasonefilitis which has a recovery period of just under two weeks. Roy now has the likely role of damaging Harry Kane and therefore ending the season for Spurs. United players very rarely get injured on international duty although often just before.

Starting to sink in just how much we fucked that up yesterday.
Gave up three points when a draw would have been okay.
Two players are going to get three game bans.

If your United you could not have dreamed up a better scenario for the one team who can push you out of fourth.

Much to learn from that mess.

Yep. But heres a decent counter

United win the top 4 trophy, pipping us to it. Theyre buzzing about it.

It's a young team, this sort of stuff happens, but it's these experiences that can make a player, most of the team yesterday bar one or two were 25 and under, I know it was a shit performance but we're still building, think of how good coutinho, can, Moreno, sterling, ibe, markovic etc could be, even if it's all over this year we will be back, IMO were in a real good position just because we could sign no one this summer and still you would see an improvement.

Was having this exact conversation in the car on the way home yesterday!
