I also Sadio might be about to find some better form; he's now 5 months from having Covid and it took Trent about that time to recover this form, plus this 20 days 'break' should be good for Sadio even if he's with the international squad.

If Sadio gets back on track, we will win lots of games, he's that good

Toni Kroos, Eden Hazard, Federico Valverde and Dani Carvajal were all absent from Real Madrid training on Wednesday.

All four first-team stars are suffering with injury and the club released a statement saying the players were "continuing with their recovery processes."

Fully expect them all to be fit and ready for our game, may as well add Ramos to that list.

Ramos out is a massive loss for them, akin to us losing VVD. If Hazard is out as well, then both sides will be pretty similar in terms of quality. Can go either way and I think away goals will decide it or a close 1-0 victory in one of the games.
No team will risk it as they are without their top CB and attacks not at their best.

I think the international break will have done our lads the world of good, a couple of weeks with no domestic football takes them out of the spotlight and relieves the pressure for a minute.

I’m sure we’ll come back firing and we will see this against Arsenal as great preparation for Tuesday.

Ramos being out is good news

If Mane can start looking like himself again. That would be lovely.

Still not sure what that was we saw over the last 3 months. Nearly managed to blot out the losses at home to Chelsea and Everton.... nearly

 :no

Here’s hoping for a complete reinvigoration on the other side of this break.

What a story it would be if we did win number 7 this year. Playing most of the season without CB’s. Then a player,Nat Phillips,  who likely would never have played a first team game for us, comes in , becomes player of the season and ends up lifting the biggest prize in football! The media would absolutely lap it up.
It would totally overshadow anything any other club wins this year.

It really would. I mean personally I think the odds are not stacked in our favor given how we have played these past few months and It would be greedy almost given what we have done recently. But If Jurgen and the boys are focused, fit and hungry for it, we can do it!. How proud would it make you this time around, would be epic. It would ram it down the throats of Neville, Keane and every smug Manc who has been texting shit to me lately as well. Anyway Madrid are there for the taking. We’ve definitely got a chance. Fabinho in midfield and Jota back up front, with Salah and Mané on form and we would have a chance against anyone.

The problem is that our defence and forward line have lost confidence this season, I don’t think the self belief is within the squad that we can win it, perhaps beating Madrid would give us the confidence? We need Mane to get back to form ASAP especially
