Hardly ever needs to pull off a worldie because he’s always in the right place. Very similar to the final against them today, all shots within his range and he made it look so simple.

Hard to compare with keepers of the past like Dino Dzoff and Lev Yashin, the game was so much different now, but I feel he's right up there with them.

He had a great game today.

Made the saves to keep a clean sheet, but when has he ever struggled with a shot? He is always in the right place which makes the save look easy.

Played sweeper even further forward today as Spurs sat back as a team. Don't forget his header 35-40 yards from his goal which he directed accurately to Hendo out on the left wing.

Best all round keeper in the world.

Was like he had glue on his gloves today, wasn’t dropping anything. Always perfectly positioned which makes it look easier than it is.

Best I've seen in my lifetime, and he's seriously improved since his time at Roma, too - people don't give him enough credit for that.

The gulf between him and clowns like Pickford, who get all sorts of gushing media praise, is staggering.

The Roma bit is a really good point. He was a great keeper at Roma but he had a propensity to push too many shots out to the keeper. The backroom staff have clearly worked on that.

Peerless. Absolutely peerless.

That word "arguably" that often prefaced previous claims of him being world's best goalkeeper, has long become obsolete.

Watching that prehistoric runt at Everton arrogantly, desperately and hilariously trying to emulate our No.1's trademark quick launch counter and fall flat on his arse in the process last week, was like watching a primary school kid, with his shoelaces tied together, pretend he's Messi.

Same. Before him, I think Neuer at his prime was the best keeper I had seen. Alisson is at that level now.

It has to be between Allison and ter Stegen who isn’t half bad either for best in the World in the next few years.

The way he just effortlessly caught those shots today looked simple, but was probably very difficult to pull off.

Just a flawless keeper.

Isn't it great we now have an actual excellent goalkeeper probably the best goalie in the world? It gives so much confidence to the rest of the team particularly the defence.

I grew up with greats like Clemence and then Grobbelaar, since then we've faffed about with average*unreliable types but now we have the very best again.

[*Exception was Pepe Reina who for a couple of years was almost in the very best catagory]

no idea how but the shots seems to stick to his gloves like they are made of glue

kind of got me worried he spilled or pushed some shots out as spurs players were looking like well positioned for any 2nd balls but shouldn't have worried.

hmm..this got me thinking..what has alisson done to achterberg?

Has actually improved after joining us. He was rated just below ederson when he was at roma. Now he is comfortably Brazil's number 1.

He was already Brazil number 1 at Roma! Maybe because we knew Ederson in England at that point, some thought he might be below him, but he wasn't ever really rated below Ederson (who is himself an outstanding keeper).
