Interesting that I had a few bluenoses over to mine to watch the game on Setanta on Saturday. Both said Lukaku is shite and has the worst first touch in football. So I watched him carefully throughout the game, and he does has a bad touch (not the worst as they claimed though).
Both bluenoses said they would of been better investing the £28m throughout the team.

First touch is where he can most improve, along with his whole back to goal game. He wasn't much involved against Leicester, all of our play happened behind him.

Add to that Barkley being out for a few months and no real significant investment this summer, and things won't be so rosy for them this time around. Ourselves, City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all strengthened significantly . Tottenham have a new and quite decent manager, and their signings have had time to bed in now. Everton will do well do get 7th this season imo.

The Friday night after Carroll signed for Liverpool I got the train back from uni. Was walking round to Central from Lime Street and saw him going in to X in the City with a fair few mates. Was only about 8pm too I think.

I love the hype over transfers. I find it hard to believe they'd be massively jealous of Balotelli, and Lukaku was a lot but a transfer they had to make really.
